He did say he was going on his 4th knee surgery. I've had 5, really only 1 major one, but I understand why he is doing it. A part of why I quit wrestling. It's not always that fun to have to keep recovering, battling it throughout the year, especially having to fight it in the cold.

He's made millions and probably wants to help preserve his knee. I'm sure it won't feel good when he hits his 40s+.

Good for him. Barstool is hilarious. The fact that Goodell banned them from SB week makes Pat's decision that much greater.

Not only that, but you're making those millions kicking a football maybe 3-10 times in a game. I know they kick a ton in practice and on the sidelines, but still it's kicking...

Yeah well they still have to attend offseason camps and those practices and travel around the country for the games. That's a lot of time to commit to, whether he's kicking a ball or running around or whatever. He's made a ton of money already, if he doesn't feel like doing that anymore he shouldn't have to.

Hence why I said good for him for being able to do that when most people wouldn't and pursuing his passions. You didn't include that part in the quote...

He's dead to you and he's an idiot because he decided that he didn't want to face injuries and decided to pursue other stuff? Its not like it was after 1 season, it was 8 years...

I mean, yeah it's a bummer, but you don't need to be so bitter.

Dude's pretty funny and seems like an overall good guy.

Moved on because his health was important to him and I think he will have a solid future in comedy.

I watched the first two uncaged segments of his show/stand up on youtube. It was pretty funny.
