|Lets face reality . We are a 3/4 defense with next to zero playmaker at 3 key positions : NT,MLB,Safety . that being said , here is my pre combine mock offseason .
NT Dontari Poe
CB Trumaine Johnson
1 Jamal Adams SS LSU
We get our own leader of the future on defense for many years to come . Him and Byard will instantly make the secondary better . kid is special
1 OJ Howard TE ALA
Delanie is great but we don't need to watch his decline before drafting the TE of the future . plus we run multiple TE sets on offense
3 Curtis Samuels WR/RB OSU
Samuels become the slot receiver and the 3rd RB . Also could help on ST , immediately replace Wright Mariani and Andrews
3 Raul Douglas CB WVU
Big strong CB with ball skills , much needed in the secondary
4 Elijah Lee MLB Kansas ST
Only listed at 220lbs but has coverage skills . Former pass rusher , can be on the field on third downs as a cover LB or pass rusher from the inside and outside .
5 Ricky Seal Jones WR Texas A&M
Big strong WR with great hands to give Mariota another RZ target
6 Bryan Cox OLB Florida
Kevin Dodd I think will be asked to add weigh to become a 3/4 DE making Cox his replacement at OLB . High motor guy
7 Jeremy Cutrer CB MTSU
Maybe my favorite under the radar guy here for some much needed help in the secondary
If the NY jets were to release a guy like B. Marshall he could be a great mentor to our young but very talented group of WRs , and he could also make the playoffs for the first time in his career . And who know maybe the Superbowl .
