Okay mod, if you say so Wink.

But I can't believe there were no leaks about this. Only thing that was reported was there was a mystery candidate.

How many front runners did we have at GM? Laughing

But really, I wonder if this was the price it was going to take to get Shanahan. I want to call Jed and Paragg morons like I always do, but I'm guessing this was the deal and Shanahan is essentially getting a lot of personnel control. I like John Lynch as a person. He seems like a smart guy, but at the end of the day he has no front office experience.

I'm late to the party, but I just looked at my phone and saw the headlines on Bleacher Report...umm wow!! There were rumors of a 3rd person from out of left field, but I didn't know it was going to be this far left! Shocked

I don't know how I feel about this...is it because Shanahan wanted too much control? Just to think I was joking with my friends that I was going to throw in my resume, I guess I should have lol!

I saw what some of you posted that Dominick might come in to be his #2.

Lynch might turn out great as a GM, but I can't come to terms that this is who we selected Confused out of the people that we interviewed.

Apparently Lynch requested that the process remained a secret.

please tell me how I should be optimistic about this. This means we gave a fair amount of roster control to a guy who has 0 experience in that department...or we just gave a guy full roster control who has 0 experience in that department.

No words.

Just as 49ers gave GM John Lynch 6-year contract, plan is to offer Kyle Shanahan a 6-year deal, per sources. SF wants HC-GM tied together.

Makes sense.

Probably wanted to see if the 49ers controlled their own leaks. Guess he has his answer.

I think he will have little say in personnel, truth be told. They are already saying he will have a#2 personnel guy, and I'm still willing to bet shanny will have a huge say

Shocked by this hire. Doesn't help Ballard become gm of colts on the same day.

I will just keep telling myself he can't be worst than baalke.

Plus if we get kyle to be head coach atleast that's more than we have had the last 2 seasons.

Yep. I actually have no issues with the length. Its stupid, but im hoping it's done under the premise of giving them adequate time to build,. Hopefully not done out of desperation

He's a fudging yes-man. Jed and Marathe are who we thought they were. Who they've always been.
