Sucks for him, getting an injury like this so early in your career is awful. I didn't have high hopes tbh but I was looking forward to seeing if he could become a franchise QB or not.

I think it was the dislocated knee that is causing the major issues in recovery time. I may be wrong, but I think that has been a career killer for guys in the past.

There was always a chance for this. Thankfully for him he doesn't play s position predicated on athleticism. They said 12-18 months was the recovery time. It's smart to not rush him back given his age.

Devastating news. Hope he comes back even better, really pulling for the guy. Here's to CPOY 2018!

Correct.

Had a complete ACL tear but the dislocated knee and structural damage are the real problems.

Didn't he have a patella tear as well? Either way poor Teddy, I doubt he'll ever make a full recovery but he deserves a chance to get back on the field.

Is he under contract with the Vikings through 2018?

Guess that trade wasn't the worst decision then

I don't think the 2 are related. Bradford still wasn't worth a 1st

Tough crowd.

Sammie Sleeves had a 71.6% Completion percentage, threw for 3,877 yards, 20 TD and 5 INT, which shakes out to a 99.3 passer rating. He's only going to be 30 next season. He definitely put up.

To be expected. You don't intentionally trade a first round pick for a one year rental. They traded for Bradford to be a long term answer at QB. Sad

Hopefully Teddy has not seen the field for the last time.

I have doubts that Bradford is seen as a long term answer. He's 30 and doesn't strike me as having much upside beyond what he showed this season. The long term answer will be Bridgewater or whatever QB is drafted in 2018. Bridgewater doesn't have to rush his recovery so it's probably best that he sits out 2017.

Most likely there was some sort of setback with his original surgery, possibly an infection which required additional 'clean-up' surgery.

This'll pretty much ruin any chance of him developing into anything more than a game manager.

The Bradford trade is looking better by the minute even if the price was rather hefty.

If he is able to come back without any limitations then I don't see how this is true.

It's still a bad trade regardless.
