The lack of Marcus Williams on this list makes me sad. Jeremy Cutrer is a really good corner though. One of my favorite sleepers in the class. #TrueBlue

We still have a couple of weeks... that list was last updated on the 10th, and only has ~10 private visits (PRI). There's been quite a few the past few days, but I'd say we still have over 10 visits to go.

Awuzie is in for a visit today.. Been hearing his name a lot lately about rising up boards. Heard he made a 35 on the wonderlic test. Seems like a smart player Robinson would like

Blah. I prefer his teammate Witherspoon easily.

I'd like him in the 3rd, but seems to be moving into round 2. High effort, aggressive player.

Tennessee is another team that doubled up on Awuzie, privately working him out as well as bringing him in for a visit.

It is part of their local visit allocation. Same with Derek Barnett and I think CJ Bethard.

Those 16 bolded ones are the ones that affect the "30 visit" rule. Still leaves us with about half our visits pending... still room to get Davis in for a visit.

The biggest surprise on this list is Yancey. I haven't seen any film on him, but everything I read places him in the 7th round or UDFA area. Not only did they work him out in private (not surprising), but they also used one of the 30 visits on him (very surprising).

Smith is interesting... I see him right below the Sprinkles and Kittles ( Laughing )... but they may like him a little more than them.

DeAngelo Yancey is very interesting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oinXrVu8Wc

Watched him as soon as I heard his name a couple weeks ago. Played with a lot of sub par QBs. He offers great size and decent run after the catch. Seems to be ok with the contested catch.

Could be one of those "Kevin Byard" type picks. Where he is rated lower and we take him about a round or two before he expected.

Very interesting?

I'll keep looking for tape (I've only found one from 2015)... and I'm not a fan of highlight reels.

But from what I've read on him... he seems like a deep only receiver, who may have issues getting separation, and has issues with drops. He may have some value late in the draft... it just seems like a lot invested in him. I can't see the Titans pulling the trigger before the 5th... and that might even be a stretch. (He may be a developmental project... but we don't have the best history developing WRs)

Quote:
"Priority free agent. Has to play down the field because he's not going to get open underneath. He's got size and can run a little bit so he's got a chance." -- AFC South regional scout

Four year letterman who has relied on quantity for his production totals. Yancey is a stiff-hipped vertical receiver only with good size but below average hands. A team could sniff around on him on Day 3, but he will struggle to uncover against NFL man coverage.

Short stepper missing quick feet to shake press coverage off the snap. Upright and slow into his routes. Stiff into his breaks with prolonged gear down. Lacks burst out of breaks and double moves aren't quick enough to create the easy throwing window. Quality man coverage can smother him. Failed to catch at least 50 percent of targeted throws in any season at Purdue. Vertical sell to setup short and intermediate is unconvincing. Drops have been an issue throughout his career.

Quote:
Route running is definitely a work in progress. Route tree appears limited (perhaps by offense), and breaks are often rounded
Route running issues make it hard for him to get open
Has some concentration drops

His route running is very raw, and in an offense that requires consistent timing to function effectively, that is a problem. If he falls out of the draft, he could be a priority free agent for the Giants to develop.

Quote:
He is no doubt going to need a lot of coaching and help with learning a full route tree and crisping up his footwork and movements. If I had to guess I think most NFL teams are hesitant on that part of his game and what him to be a more dynamic receiver given his size. If the Redskins are looking to get a great value at the WR position and want to add to the big bodies they have signed this offseason and also donít mind molding some clay Yancey presents a great value on late day three of the draft.

Yancey isn't someone you hang your WR core on.....Like you said he is a late project.

I do like highlight reels. I start there...if a prospect can't provide me with any wow plays to start, then the rest, I've found, isn't up to par.

I look for the ability to make plays then dig deeper to see if they can do it on a consistent level.

So he has the ability to make a few plays. Could be a Robinson guy from the little interviews I've read of him.

Start of the 5th round he could be in play from then on....based on our interest, depending on what we do earlier in the draft.
