So am I wrong in wanting either Johnson or Bouye if either hit FA? Rookie CBs rarely come in and establish themselves as starters, and if we're truly superbowl or bust this season, I'd rather get an established guy opposite Breaux.

That way we can spend our first rounder on a DE (Thomas/Barnett) or LB (Foster).

Excuse my ignorance but I'm not sure who the Johnson you're referring to is. I'd love Bouye though, last couple of seasons we haven't spent and we have some cap space now. Not confident in our FO to do good things with that cap though. Laughing

I'd like to at least take a look at Gillmore, he'd be great for us.

We handed out a pretty big contract to Fleener.

Feeling is mutual. I sold my soul to the devil and became a Pats fan for a week. I was pretty nervous for most of the night.

First off, I didn't watch the game. And, I WAS routing for the Falcons despite the rivalry. But, when I found out they let NE score 31 unanswered in the 4th quarter, I thought:

Must be an NFC South coaching staple...I mean, to let games go like that.

Haha. I was actually ok either way. Pats win just cements Brady/Bill greatness. Falcons win, they get their 1st Super Bowl win as a franchise. As much as I hate/despise the Falcons, it's pretty cool as a fan when your team finally wins the big game.

The Falcons choke fest has revived my hope that the Saints compete for the division in 2017. That Falcons loss was the best case scenario for division rivals. That was soul crushing.

I think we will make the playoffs next year if we stay healthy on defense but those injuries have killed us the last 3 years. Also gotta nail the draft, but we have a solid chance at making some noise.

Ryan Nielsen is the Saints new D-line coach. Here is an article about him:

Love, love, love the tweet-quote of Ryan Nielsen.

Seems like the brass might have gotten things together...only time will tell. This make me excited to see the (hopefully) progression of Ony specifically.
