The last two SB teams have displayed some extremely mentally tough teams. 2014 overcame two 14 point deficits to the Ravens, then a 10 point (the largest at the time in SB history) 4th quarter deficit in the SB.

This years team faced a 4-game suspension of their leader and the GOAT, lost the best offensive weapon in football to injury, and then this miraculous comeback.

Incredible, really.

Don't want to make this political, but the following players so far have decided not to visit the White House post-SB:

Blount
Hightower
Bennett
McCourty
Long
Branch

It's not a stretch to think there will be more.

Branch showed such great awareness on the Hightower strip sack.

Don't think I've posted in here yet, but... Wow. What a game.

Unfortunately I was at work whilst it was on, so was on a delay. I watched the majority of the first half at lunch, and was understandably despondent. I skipped to the start of the 4th Q and watched from there (it was a bad day at work, I just wanted to know how bad it was gonna get Razz), and needless to say it was incredible. I still don't really believe it. Every time I watch the highlights, I think we're gonna lose. Not dissimilar to the Butler interception really!

I haven't gone through all of this thread, but I can imagine what it was like, and I can understand a lot of the negativity. We played pretty poorly in the first half, to be kind. But we showed you can never count us out, and I'm glad all the players kept that mindset. Pretty satisfying reading through the NFL Gen GDT, describing the course of the comeback, the general sense of disbelief, everybody making predictions, willing the Pats not to win etc.

Tom Brady is the GOAT now without a doubt, and the only question remaining is how much longer he can do it for. Depending on our offseason, we're well positioned to be right back there again, especially considering this was all without Gronk...

Agreed. It was so nice to see bounces going our way (this, the Edelman catch, other potential INTs from Brady going to ground etc), and I'm sure Coach B would say it goes to show that hard work pays off. Those opportunities aren't there if the team doesn't persevere and put in the work to create them.

From La Canfora:

“The T-shirt really bothered him,” according to one ownership source who had been in contact with big wigs at the league office. “The fact that [Robert] Kraft didn’t stop him from wearing that ticked some people off, but did they really think he’s going to protect Goodell after all of this?”

Bunch of clowns at the league office got their feelings hurt. Crying or Very sad

The 3rd video. It seemed that clown was nervous talking to Brady.

^ I don't actually understand the reference (not a big Simpsons fan), but I hope it's someone nice. I felt so bad watching him on the sidelines at the end... No idea what he is actually like as a person, but he seemed very excited and enthusiastic leading up to the game, so it was sad to see him like that.

I did not know this

only 9 players have ever registered more than 2 sacks in a Super Bowl

4 of them over the past 2 years

Von Miller (2.5)
Kony Ealy (3.0)
Grady Jarrett (3.0)
Trey Flowers (2.5)

So who gets the America's game spots?

Bennett should have one. The other 2/3?

He deserved all the misery he got. Cheering like a kid before the fourth quarter. Act like an owner. The side by side of him and his lady bouncing off the walls before the game was decided and then when the Pats had the comeback going was magical. Gomez Adams looking schmuck.
