I don't get why people think our depth has anything to do with it. No defensive unit in the NFL can withstand that many plays against it.

But it goes Tru - Alford - Collins - Poole then a few guys behind them.

Atlanta has a ton of depth at DB
Desmond Trufant
Jalen Collins
Robert Alford
Brian Poole
Deji Olatoye
C.J. Goodwin
Akeem King
Atlanta's depth at CB is ridiculous.

At S, they need some depth there behind Allen and Neal. But that should be had this offseason.

Adjusted for what our actual legit depth is, other guys are just bodies. Absolutely think we should be drafting a corner this year.

Desmond Trufant
Jalen Collins
Robert Alford
Brian Poole

Goodwin is an interesting prospect. He had a few good plays during the super bowl. Very interesting that he actually showed enough to stay on the roster all year.

maybe in year or two he develops into something, but he was definitely picked on in the SB. hes a lottery ticket, an injury at corner and he sees significant playing time, im not really comfortable with that.

Keeping in mind we're pretty much set on offense, like at a team like the vikes or bengals or even kc. Theyre consistently taking corners in the top 2-3 rounds, even if that means a guys pending the year as a 4th or 5th corners. Cause odds are that guy is gonna play even if everyone stays healthy, and its just insurance if someone is hurt.

really like goodwin as the fifth cb. and there are a few guys on the roster that could beat him out. i don't think see the falcons taking a corner in the draft, unless there's someone they really like in the late rounds. collins' development this season was huge. tru is tru. poole is a really nice #4, but needs to stop grabbing as much. maybe he's been hanging around alford too much.
