The vast majority of the mock drafts have the fake boards falling to 28 where DEs are the BPA. And DBs rule after.

I would be $97.53 that Dallas goes DE rd.1, and DB rd. 2. BPA after.

Think it's gonna be flipped. DB - DE - maybe another DB.

Some positive news on the Jaylon front

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000802037/article/nerve-in-jaylon-smiths-knee-regenerating-lb-can-lift-his-toes

Quote:
A source informed of Smith's prognosis said the nerve in Smith's knee has started to regenerate. There is still a long way to go, but he's slowly getting muscle control.

Smith can now lift up his toes and he can lift his foot. More good news.

How sure are you though? Aye there's the rub. Are you $97.53 sure? Or something less than that. Throw in another penny and I'll fold like a cheap suit.

Good to see. Baby steps are fine, just keep heading in the right direction.

When looking at our D as a whole I would think DE but when I look at the actual roster and see that we have 3 CB's on the team(not counting practice or futures) it has to be CB/DB multiple times. Maybe we could trade for a safety or CB but the need is there and the need is great. Now if a pass rusher that you think could give you double digit sacks is there you take him. To me it would be like this if it is either DE or DB;

Garrett
Thomas
Adams
Lattimore
Hooker
Allen
Conley
Taco
King Awuzie
Watt
Harris

I have been wrong before though and this is just the way I think the DB vs DE might come off the board.

What are the collective thoughts on Jordan Willis? Outstanding athlete. Very solid character. Is he too light for a 4-3 DE? Will his combine results drive up his draft position?

depending on who else is available of course, but I would be fine with him. Charles Haley was quite light, but just produced.

Haley wasn't stiff. Willis struggles to turn the corner on the speed rush.

well that's different than "being too lite" But if a light weight can't turn the corner than I don't want him.

This is great news. I remember the haters/bloggers saying that Jaylon would never be able to fully control his foot. I was concerned for Jaylon playing in 2017 (due to this) but it sounds like he doesn't have drop foot anymore, which is great.
