Jason Garrett voted NFL Coach of the Year by Pro Football Writers of America. First recipient of the PFWA award was Tom Landry in 1966. |

How great would it be if Steve Harvey presented JG with the award and was like...

It is well deserved but he showed in the playoff game that he's nothing more than a middle of the pack coach. But he's here for a long time so it doesn't matter. |

Are Stephen Jones and Will McClay the only people in this organization who get any credit for success? |

Stephen Jones just told us they are moving forward as if Jaylon Smith is good to go. |

Anthony Hitchens earns raise of more than $1 million |
Quote: | Because he played in at least 35 percent of the snaps in two of his first three seasons, Hitchens qualified for the "proven performance escalator," in his contract that takes his base salary from $690,000 to $1.84 million in 2017. |
Quote: |
Hitchens, the 119th overall pick in 2014, has started 36 of a possible 48 games in his first three seasons. He finished third on the team in tackles, according the coaches' count, with 104, to go along with 1.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, five quarterback hurries and two pass deflections. |
Cap implications....
Quote: | The additional $1.15 million will be added to the projected cap hold of $179,317,616, per Over The Cap, bringing Dallas up to $180.5 million in projected costs. The 2017 salary cap hasn’t been set yet, but is expected to fall between $168 and $170 million.
The Cowboys are rolling over $2.4 million in unused 2016 cap space, but that still currently leaves them $8 million over the high-end projection. |

I see no way Romo is on this team next year. How are we still over the cap though with no real big contracts on the defense smh _________________

Only way I see Romo staying is if Dallas opens up QB competition. Don't think that's going to happen. I think about 25% of our cap is currently earmarked for the OL. $40+m or something like that. _________________
