IMO the BPA in the Seahawks draft range at the first round is DeMarcus Walker, and pass rush is ever a need. There's no way in hell a team like the Seahawks stop adding pass rushers, and I think he'd make a hell of a pick.

The second one imo is Budda Baker, but Budda fills more of a need.

Barring a disappointing combine, this guy is probably going in the first.
most places and people have him as a second rounder. I think his weight and speed at the combine will play a definite part in where he gets drafted

While he was electric in college, he wasn't Earl in coverage. I do think grabbing him at 58 could be difficult

His more common comp is Thyrann Mathieu without character concerns and strong leadership. With a strong combine that's a first round pick and the worry is going to be if he's actually on board by the time Seahawks pick at 26th.

He has big riser written all along his face. He is a better prospect than all of the DBs that went first round last season, imo, with the exception of Jaelen Ramsey and maybe Keanu Neal (who ppl was mocking like in third/fourth round a month prior to the Draft).

Rob Staton has talked a lot about Kevin King. I have to look further, but his profile makes a lot of sense to what the Seahawks generally looks for in CBs (short area quickness, lenght).

I have see the Mathieu comp. Earl played a lot more nickel in college than he ever has in the NFL. He was talked about as a CB by multiple outlets, at least for a time. As a defender, he reminds me more of Earl, at least to date. As a total body of work I see why people say Mathieu due to the return ability

I'm not sure King is worthy of a 1st, but I don't watch CB closely when watching UW play. With his physical tools, I could see him being gone before our 2nd as well

Not sure Baker falls out of the first unless he tests in the 4.5s>

He checks pretty much every other box, though I need to see him tackle a little more.

Honestly haven't bothered to watch much of him. Sounds like he will go top 10

Lots of offseason surgery for him and is poised to miss the combine. Hopefully that inspires a slip.

Out of the guys I think that might be available at 26:

1 - DB Obi Melifonwu
2 - CB Kevin King
3t - DB/KR/PR Adoree Jackson
3t - LB/EDGE TJ Watt
5 - DB Budda Baker

Round 2:

1 - CB Quincy Wilson
1t - CB Cordrea Tarkensley
3 - DT Chris Wormley
4 - CB Akhello Whiterspoon
5 - EDGE Jordan Willis

Later on:

1 - OG Isaac Asiata
2 - DE DeMarcus Walker
3 - RB D'Onta Foreman
4 - RB/WR Joe Mixon
5 - DB Shalom Luani
6 - OT Adam Bisnowaty

My favorite draft scenario would be:
1 - Obi Melifonwu
2 - Quincy Wilson/Cordrea Tarkensley
3 - Isaac Asiata
3 - DeMarcus Walker
3 - D'Onta Foreman/Joe Mixon

1st (possible they make it to us, hence no
1a. Ryan Ramczyk
1b. Garrett Bolles (unlikely either makes it, but possible one manages to drop)
2. Forrest Lamp (boring I know, but he just looks like a future all-pro guard)
3. Budda Baker
4. Tre'Davious White
5. Marlon Humphery
I like King and Watt here as well among others

2nd
1. Sidney Jones (if we go Budda or White)
2. Fabian Moreau (if we go Humphery or a taller CB like King. If he wont be ready because of the injury I would drop him to the 2nd round)
3. Kevin King (if we go Budda or White. I'd prefer to grab him around pick 45 or 50, I don't think he is worth a 1st. With that said, I think he is a good prospect who could be a great player).
4. Cordea Tankersley
5. Quincy Wilson

3rd
Hard to rank, but I like...
Asiata, Ogunjobi, Dalvin Tomlinson, Derek Rivers, among others

4th and on...
Jourdan Lewis (if he checks out, this will be based off of him dropping), Daeshon Hall, Mama, Dylan Donahue, SLB Vince Biegel, and my sleeper specials Jeremy Clark, Ethan Cooper, and Keion Adams

If I just have to pick 5 that I really like, assuming value is taken into consideration, I'd go...
Bolles, Lamp, Budda, Moreau, and Keion Adams

Ideal (and probably unrealistic) draft would be...

1. Bolles
2. Sidney Jones
3. Derek Rivers
3. Asiata
3. Ogunjobi/Tomlinson
4. Jourdan Lewis
5. Keion Adams
6. Jeremy Clark

OR

1. Bolles
2. Wilson/Tankersley
3. Fabian Moreau
3. Asiata
3. Ogunjobi/Tomlinson
4. Daeshon Hall/Biegel
5. Keion Adams
6. Jeremy Clark

Joe Mixon screams a Seattle pick, been thinking it for months. Pete carroll believes he can get the most out of guys with something to prove and when you look closer at Mixon's case it almost exonerates him. I think they'll do their due diligence and snag him unless someone else jumps on it first

I really hope Adoree Jackson fall to our range as well

Regardless of who we get, we are primed to get another DB or two at least in this drafty. Very fortunate talent pool for this franchise, given our current depth issues in the secondary.

My opinion is that if Seattle approves of picking Mixon that means he'll be on a lot of other teams' boards as well. He is probably the most talented RB in the class, so I think we'd have to pick him in R2, something I'd rather not do. He is for sure talented though

Chidobe Awuzie is great.

His leaping ability, instincts, run support, blitz ability are exactly what I'd want from a 5th DB in this defense. One of the best football players in this draft class, period.

Short arms, though.
