There must be something we just don't know about VJ. I mean, the Broncos were the most attractive landing spot for any coach...Elway could have made an offer to anyone and they would have taken the job. The Broncos could have even waited till after the play offs to hire Kyle or Toub.

Makes you wonder about VJ...what kind of Mile High Magic does he possess?

Like you said above, this gig is one of the more appealing jobs to come open in a while. I am surprised that they "only" landed Joseph. But hey I guess if he was Elway's guy then it makes sense. I feel like this is an uninspiring hire to be quite honest. He does have a lot of talent to work with though. I pray to god this forces Phillips out of town. That would be a massive mistake imo.

I'm lukewarm on the idea, if he keeps Wade it gets better and the OC hire will be extremely important.

That said, I'm looking forward to some of the responses on here

From the other thread:

Dolphins fan here.

Just to add on, he displays all the qualities you would want in a Head Coach. Players respect him, they buy in with him.

He also dealt with a number of significant injuries. Koa Misi(starting LB), Reshad Jones(Pro Bowl Safety) Isa Abdul Quiddus(Starting Safety), Earl Mitchell for half the year(Starting DT), Xavien Howard(Starting CB), etc... The defense was a bunch of second teamers for much of the year except the couple of big name guys on the D-Line. yet, we won 10 games with a roster expected to win 6 at most. Tony Lippett played like a bonafide starting CB after being drafted in the 5th round a couple of years ago. We got production from Bacarri Rambo, who we signed off the street during the season. I could go on, but you get my point.

Great hire! And I will miss him

Meh. Decidedly average. I hope I'm wrong and he's a hell of a coach, but we'll see.

I'm certainly not inspired about the rumored Mike McCoy/Joe Woods tandem, that's for sure.

Reportedly, Joseph's first choice for the next OC was the now new Raiders' OC Todd Downing.
