Extend Quentin Spain
Cut Douglas
I'd only resign maybe schweinke to stay as the backup G/C but a rookie could be way cheaper.
Restructure Jason mcourty and Searcy.
Klug to a minimum because his injury

I like trufant a lot but that's very unrealistic and i kind of like J Robinson to have as many picks as possible.

Thanks for the input.
I hear you on the trade but it is just a game, although I don't want to go to crazy with trades it is something to consider.

From reading through the threads it seems cb/s and wr are
the biggest needs.
I have some F.A targets in mind but was wandering who you guys would like to see in blue next year.
Again any feedback is appreciated.

We have no priority resigning.

Klug has been a nice rotational player for us, and would be good to bring back on a cheap contract. Same with Schwenke and Johnson/Stafford (1 of the safeties).

Wright and Warmack will get a chance elsewhere, but if you can get them cheap as backups, do that as well... Spence and Blake also on vet min contracts.

For RFA's, tender Supernaw only. We need to move on from Andrews (change of pace back). Tanney and McBride are the only ERFA's I'd bother with... PS or bottom of the roster type players.

Douglas is the first WR to go once you sign someone else.

As for our needs, CB, WR, S, ILB are priorities.

CBs
T Johnson or Bouye would be ideal... whether you sign one of those or not, you can still look in the next tier... Gilmore, Kirkpatrick, Ryan, Claiborne, Amukamara, and Munnerlyn... you must land one of these top 7... and if you get 2, great... you can cut McCourty for cap savings (or move him to S). So many good options at CB... via FA and the draft... I'd pass on the trade for 2 3rds... maybe a 3rd and a late pick, but not both 3rds... IMHO

WR
Jefferey and Pryor will probably get too much money... but a good value can be found amongst the next tier... preferably one of Quick, Floyd, Stills, Garcon

S
Berry is at the very top of the wishlist for most Titans fans. If he is available, he is prioritized. Jefferson, Cyprien, or Church are good fall back options... but keep other needs/signings in mind. You may be able to land one of the top safeties in the draft.

ILB
If Hightower hits FA, he shoots to the top of the wish list alongside Berry... other than that, focus on younger and more athletic (coverage skills), probably in the draft.

Other positions, in no order

QB
WE need to find a quality backup... preferably someone younger... but someone that can come in and produce in a pinch, and help Mariota grow. Don't be afraid to go after one of the top backup options (Hoyer?)

RB
A change of pace back would be nice... someone who can play STs, can motion out of the backfield... a speedster. Murray and Henry remain a solid 1-2.

TE
Walker is still amongst the best, but aging. Amaro is a former 2nd round pick that I'm hoping turns it around. Supernaw is ok. It's a little scary going with Amaro as a 2, but I'm more confident in him than most. A blocking TE would replace Supernaw (and may possible be #2 on the depth chart)

OL
Depth... Kelly and Schwenke played well when called upon this season... Tretola should be the 8th... just need to add versatility... a T/G swing guy

DL
Have a solid rotation... very deep... but could use another impact player opposite Casey. Casey, Jones, Johnson, Woods x2, Blackson, Klug would be the current rotation.

OLB
We have 3 similar players/options in Rak, Morgan, Dodd. Need a 4th OLB, maybe one who's a little more rounded... the top 3 guys are more pass rushing "specialists", aka 4-3 DEs

Desmond Trufant is only 26.

Two 3rds for a borderline top 10 corner which just happens to be our biggest need? Yes pls.
We've lacked a corner with real skills for years and years. Which is why imo we can't beat the colts or texans and struggle vs the Jags.

You could trade down in the 1st to get the 3rd back or pick up a 2nd.

Had some inquiries about McCourty and Woodyard.
These guys surplus to requirements?

McCourty is trash so getting anything for him is a plus. Woodyard is average and I'd take a 7th for him(assuming you have a replacement in place).

Plenty of time to find a replacement.
I have a couple of free agents in mind.

I've been pushing for McCourty to move to S for a few years now... even with his lost step(s), I think he'd be a great fit back there with his instincts, experience, leadership, and other intangibles. In real life terms, McCourty probably needs to restructure to stay... in mocks, with so much room under under the cap, I'd keep him for depth (especially making the transition to S).

As for Woodyard, I thought he had a good year... and has improved under LeBeau. He's also more versatile than Williamson. If we brought in a rookie, I'd rotate the 3 of them... but if I had to choose right now (for the '17 season) between Woodyard and Williamson, I'd take Woodyard.

I wouldn't accept anything below a mid tier pick (4th/5th) for either of them.

Thoughts on Brandon Marshall?
Could be a nice stopgap for a year or 2 and take some pressure of the rookies.

First round of free agency in the books and I was able to sign both Alshon Jeffery and Trumaine Johnson.
Berry was franchised so I bid for Tony Jefferson but was outbid (his APY was 16mill)
Also resigned Karl Klug.
I know I paid a lot for them but they would be great additions to your team.
Thoughts on the contracts??

Jesus. Those contracts are huge. But the guaranteed money is low. Looks like you can cut them in a few years if need be.

Draft Adams or Foster at 5 and target another CB at 18.

Numbers are inflated for sure.
I think T.J will get 7-10 per year and A.J will get 9-12 per year irl.

Rounds 2and 3 of free agency complete.
Added T.J McDonald on a very reasonable contract at just over 5mill a year.
Resigned a couple of my own in Supernaw and Schwenke.
Moore played well for AZ towards the end of the year and should add depth at ILB.
Bryant has some issues but he's a talented pass rusher.
Any feedback appreciated.
