The greatest and most truthful thread heading of all football posting history.

Now let the losing tradition continue.

I'm taking the wait and see approach. Let's see what he does with the staff.

This news is almost equal to hearing about a (decent) parent passing away. Tragic.

Couple things going on here imo, the other coaches probably didn't want to deal with bortles and scared Caldwell might be fired and they would end up losing their job as a result.

This is about the only thing that saves me from hating this decision beyond comprehension. I can't blame the lack of time given before on lack of forethought if they recognized their inability to think ahead and asked someone else to be that head.

Still not happy, but I'm not incredibly angry if this is the case.

You're speaking in terms of Marrone being a bad coach in the fact that he left Buffalo but in all actuality when he left there he looked as if he was Einstein by foreshadowing his future there with that front office.. like I joked with my friends that a Marrone has been going home to his wife telling her how lost Gus was and that if the Jags gave him a shot he would show the Jags what a real coach looked like and when he went home after the Tennessee victory he went home that night and kissed his wife and said see "told ya". by Doug taking Gus's same exact team and making the playoffs next year.. Gus may never get another HC shot.
