Dumb dumb dumb decision. Just when I was excited or Jax to move on from their last dud HC and truly take some steps forward, they do this. Poor fans.

How was he Bills fans? When he got fired at 9-7 I always wondered why. I was hoping he be the Texans OC since him and O'Brien are cool.

Marrone had Buff going the right way, then Rex ruined it

He didn't get fired. He had an option to bail in his contract and took it.

Underrated move. Did well with Bills then bailed, respected around the league as well from what In read.

Okay, so why didn't they fire Bradley in like week 8 to see how Marrone would do with a decent stretch of games?

Doug was the best coach the Bills have had in a long time.

I wish we still had Marrone tbh.

100% true. They can't think more than one step ahead without falling over themselves.

This just cements them as having no idea what they're doing. They had the worst team in NFL history over a 4 year period and waited until 2 weeks before the season ended to try out the guy they would eventually hire to lead the team. There's no forethought in the process, no nothing.

If you think Marrone is worthy of being the head coach, maybe fire the man with the worst head coach record in NFL history and actually take the time to see what he can do. But nah, we'll ride out 14 games of the same [inappropriate/removed] that led the being the laughing stock of the NFL for r years and then turn to Marrone for two meaningless games so we can go in almost completely blind to what he offers. Great planning, as always from this idiot franchise.

Not a very sexy pick but better than Mike Smith.

Shanahan and McDaniels were long shots to begin with. One is going to be a first time head coach and the other wants his own hand picked GM.

Marrone is thought of pretty highly in league circles. I don't think he's that bad of a hire. He comes from an offensive background which is a change from what they had under Bradley. This can only help Bortles and the offense.

I do see legit criticism in people saying how they didn't completely wipe the slate clean and could have given Marrone more of an audition as he was on Bradley's staff for the past two years, but IMO that isn't exactly a bad thing.
