I wanted Ramsey or Bosa. Zeke is great but I thought defense was a bigger need. Need a saftey and a passrusher still. In the end the Achilles heel the defense killed us once again.

What's the cap situation like heading into next year?

$4m in the hole at the moment.

Ok cut Carr, trade Romo.
Now what? Very Happy

Cap space won't be an issue if they have the guts to do what is necessary:

1. Make Tony a Jun 1 cut. No picks, but saves $14mil
2. Cut Free save $5mil
3. Restructure Fredrick and save at least $10mil
4. Cut Jason Witten save $7mil or extend him two years and save about $5mil

That's an easy $35mil plus. They can easily sign any one that the want.

They aren't cutting Witten so you can forget about that. He is on the downhill side of things but still has a positive impact. He will retire a Cowboy. So sick of Doug Free and his one to two false starts a game. Mo Claiborne is fragile as hell.

Where is this sudden Byron Jones hate coming from? He's been the unsung hero on defense all season. What the hell is going on here lol? ?

I tend to be more positive towards the players than not, but I honestly don't think Byron is that good of a safety. I wouldn't say that he's terrible (as I emotionally stated earlier), but I certainly don't think he was an unsung hero.

Non call against Green Bay. KC just got flagged for similar hold which negated a 2 point conversion that would have tied game. The inconsistencies kill me. Steelers catch a big break.

Byron made a lot of plays in man coverage over the course of the season, but he gave up quite a few key plays also. I'm not down on him, but he could certainly do better than he has. He's a second year guy, I think he'll make a big jump next year so I don't think we should be looking to upgrade his position.

big game experience like this is invaluable for your young guys (QB especially).

like that heartbreaking loss to ARZ in 2009 our young team suffered, and well we all know what happened the seasons after that.

Dak outperformed most (all?) rookie QBs in his postseason game. Good sign for your future.

I honestly believe if it's a close game the refs will either throw a flag against us or ignore a obvious penalty on whoever the Boys play.

that is what I have come to expect

especially after that "Pass Interference" on Brown on the Heath INT.

Aaron Rodgers presser. He has some very nice things to say about you guys (and Dak in particular again) thought you might want to hear them (at some point). If not, ignore.

Sorry to break it to you, but they were letting that stuff go all game long on both sides. Matthews got held all day long and with not a single call. And if you watch it in real time, you'll Lang was actually letting him go. You picked a freeze frame as Lang was letting him go.

Horribly officiated game on both sides all game long. They let a lot of stuff go. I was watching the game with a die hard Dolphins fan who hates Dallas. On the Lang non hold call he got up from his chair yelling that's a hold. It's the inconsistency that drives me nuts. Hopefully the refs won't influence either conference championship game. Something tells me they will. Truthfully I would have rather been blown out than to lose like we did. Easier to take. Still I am proud of the way we fought back. I thought the Pack might put up 50 at the rate we were going. This loss stings because we came so close. Future looks good though.
