Watchlist:

Norv Turner
Mike McCoy
Tom Clements

College Guys (just a few)

Tim Drevno (Michigan OC)

Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma OC)

Mike Sanford (Norte Dame OC)

^^ I think these guys are more likely. People need to understand and I'm sure some of you do, but some of these established well known OC's aren't going to take a job where it's basically 1 year or bust. Todd Bowles will be on the hot seat next year, and we also have NO quarterback. It's not a great situation for anyone to come into. I think it could be a problem when we start to look around.

Sonny Dykes got fired from Cal. Not sure he'd be willing to take a OC job but he'd be an interesting option.

Mike Smith is the favorite for the Jags job. If so and Marrone leaves/gets fired, he could be an option for OC as well.

I'd be so happy if this happened. Texas Tech boy.

Nevermind. Marrone got hired by the Jags.

What's funny is Mike Smith is actually a solid HC, just did a bad job of hiring a OC. I think he'll get a shot soon.

Sanford is the head coach at Western Kentucky now, so he wouldn't be an option. I actually don't think we hire anyone from the college level, I think Bowles is going to want a proven guy who has done it at this level.

Any coach willing to take our OC job will have to do tons of homework. I can't see anyone wanting it unless they really like what they see in 1 of Petty or Hack. Coaches don't want to take a job without knowing who the QB is. As for Macc I think he should be looking for OCs with strong opinions on either guy. An OC that takes the job with not having a direction at QB really doesn't help us.

Ken Whisenhunt will be the new Jets OC if he gets out of his San Diego contract. I have a really reliable source.

Oakland just let Bill Musgrave's contract expire. Let's hire him please.

I brought up Whiz about a week ago. Has ties to Bowles from the Redskins as a player and from the Jets as assistants.
