At 29 he's on the back end of his prime but at worst he could be solid depth at a few spots across the O-line. When Hack does get in there it would be best that he at the very least has time to throw. That is very important for a young QB.

If we suffer an injury to either OG our depth is rather thin and that would not be beneficial for Hack to have a bad OG getting pushed into his face every time he drops back so for that reason alone I hope we bring him in for good depth.

Not sure he's willing to accept a backup role.

Agreed. . That's probably why we didn't sign him. He'll probably wait for TC to start and a starting OG to go down.

On the flip side we now have an explosive KR/PR guy in Whitehead.

I like the Whitehead pick up as well. Though- no guarantee he makes the final roster. Hopefully he comes in and shows he can be a good KR/PR.

If we only had a legit Center I would feel so much better about this line. Johnson was so terrible last year I wish we drafted the kid from Ohio State.

I was so angry that we traded out of that spot to get an extra 7th rounder

Macs trading was absolutely atrocious. We still could have most likely ended up with everyone we wanted too. Trading out of the spot were we could of had Samaje Perine hurt too. Offense would be so much better and we would still of had Stewart.

Very true, Mac is a 7 round GM. After he is gone, he will join a long list of N. Y. Jets front office failures. After this past offseason Mac lost me. How could any body defend Mac after his drafting & FA pick ups this year. As things stand now we are the worst rated team in the NFL as per AOL.
