If this has been posted before I apologize, but I am trying to get a fan base opinion of the team needs.

Just the top 3 or 4.

Thanks.

This team is really young everywhere, so there's caveats based on what you believe of a player's development. Some of these aren't needs at all if players play up to expectations you might have for them, but they're huge if they don't. I'm just gonna list the majority of players with no explanation for them and let you make your own determination.

1. QB - Bortles
2. EDGE (either SLB or DE or both) - Fowler
3. FS
4. SS
5. RB
6. CB (#2 and slot) - House, Colvin
7. DT (1 spot) - Miller (may not be retained), Day
7. MLB - Jack
8. WR - (#1, #2, #3) Robinson, Hurns, Lee
9. RT - Parnell
10. TE - Thomas
11. K
12. RG - Cann

Only real explanation for any of these that I care to make is that a lot of people believe that a significant portion of Bortles's struggles are tied to his poor mechanics that we believe can be fixed with proper coaching.

And for anyone reading - no, I didn't forget Prince. He wasn't good for the majority of the year and I don't think he deserves to be retained as a potential top 3CB.

iPwn isn't accepting ok any longer Prince played solid at times and at times he was a liability. Ok is no longer acceptable everybody in this league is ok but teams are getting better all the time just like we are. For instance I see a lot of people saying Don't draft a back when we can get one later in rounds.. haven't we done that before why do we continue with the same draft model of drafting ok players and hoping they pan out well enough when you draft a guy like Cook that you know is going to be special.. i'm tired of drafting cats like TJ Yeldon when I can draft F. Taylor and be elite at a position for 8 years out the gate. I'm sick of drafting d-linemen in the 1st round that never pan out to their draft spot. I'm sure he isn't speaking on drafting Cook per say but ok is no longer ok.

I haven't begun scouting EDGE players, and will not do so until the metrics are out. So right now, while EDGE is my top 1 need, Cook is my #1 player. He may drop down as I look at EDGE guys, but for now, he's who I would be most comfortable with having.

In the military I had a moto for my troops do it right the first time so you won't have to come back and do it over again.. The Jags need to follow suit. Because now they whiffed at tackle, Beachum may have saved Caldwell and now we have to double back and draft Fowlers position again.

I really want a RB we can rely on to be our Fred Taylor/MJD for years but is our OL good enough to make Cook be our Zeke?

Cook is the kind of back to make your line look better then it actually is i'm a Nole fan FSU had subpar lines the past 2 years and even 3 years ago FSU line struggled until we moved Cam Erving from tackle to center. Is the Jag line elite not by a long shot but this line is middle of the pack when healthy and with a new coaching staff you will see improved play from the line the most of our issue was using the zone blocking scheme.

I'm not even talking about drafting Cook because Dallas took Zeke and it proves that it can work. Because by no means do we have a Oline in the realm of Dallas. But I know football players when I see them and barring injury if this kid Cook is healthy he will be an all time great. The Jags line is not as bad as they look at times I think with coaching they will be better they are serviceable Pittsburg line had some holes a few years ago and now they are stout one of the top 5 lines in the league but Bell was running behind them before they were a top 5 line. If Blake is not what we need him to be right now surround him with weapons that can take a 5 yards pass to the flat and turn it to a 35 yard TD. Take away all his excuses he either has to play up to the talent around him or he will flounder.. but leave him with no excuses.

Year 1? No. But he can be a 1,100+ yard back out of the gate, and build from there.

Also imagine how much better you would feel knowing all the talent you've amassed over the past seasons at wideout, rb, and defense you just need a qb to take the reigns into 2018.

I'm hoping they target the following in the draft:

- One more pass rusher
- OG
- TE
- RB
- Plan B QB in case Bortles forgets how to throw a football again
(I'd like Webb or Peterman in the third or fourth round)

TE,RB and CB are all deep classes in this draft. Bargains may be found in rounds 4 or 5 for those positions in my opinion.

Dont we need a LT? Especially with Albert a question mark

Yes. I think the only tackles in this draft worthy of any real expectation of being starting LTs will go in the gap between our #4 and #35 picks.

There should be a quality guard on the board at #35 however. (Feeney or Dawkins)

I think they take a guard in the second or third and take a chance on a late round developmental/project tackle.

Robinson or Moton are tackle possibilities at #35 - but they could also be gone by then.

I don't see anyone landing a long term starting LT from this draft class after the second round.

I also feel fairly confident they'll get decent play at LT from Albert in 2017 despite his past injuries and potential hold-out.
