So when is Butler getting introduced to the Minnesota media?

Thursday at the earliest, per both Wolfson and Krawczynski.

Cleveland comes to Minnesota: 4 game sweep

Minnesota goes to Cleveland: 3 game sweep

The Twins are a weird team, but I love the fact they are still hanging around (and actually leading), the AL Central. There might be something nice about being out of it to move players and get long term pieces, but at the same time, it's hard to say no to a team that is winning.

It will be a mistake to get rid of Rubio, IMO.

I tend to agree. I think his skill set is good for the offense...and his defense is needed, because they aren't very good without it.

If they could lure Kyle Lowry, they would get better.

I don't know that his skillset is that great for a Thibs offense. Generally he wants PG's being better shooters. While I think that Rubio is a solid player at this point in time, he isn't a shooter, though he has improved. We'd have to hope he improves more to really have him as good fit.

Thibs has never had a good shooter for a starting PG. Rose, Rubio, and Heinrich are not good shooters, but could score and distribute. I think Reddick makes a lot of sense, and I think Kyle Lowry makes a lot of sense for the wolves. Get competitive now, get some playoff experience, and be ready to challenge once GSW starts to show cracks in 3-4 years Laughing

I just think they don't need a shooter at PG and Rubio would be fine in Thibs' offense.

I do think Redick would make a lot of sense, because he is a shooter and would improve the bench dramatically. The bench is clearly where their main issue is. Replacing Rubio with a shooting PG wouldn't make all that much of a difference to me and his passing/defense are more than adequate.

Shooting might not be correct as a scoring point guard. Which would likely involve slightly better shooting than Rubio has, but consistent ability to finish at the rim or score, without needing to be the primary scorer and the ability to handle the ball, but to be a threat without the ball in their hand.

Yeah I would classify it more as a scoring/slashing PG, which arguably is even less of Rubio's game.

Maybe Thibs likes Burcs or Hood?

Apparently the Rockets didn't appreciate it when the media anointed the Wolves as the main competition to the Warriors...
