Rams reportedly set to interview Sean McVay for head coaching job
http://fw.to/wgaUX7P
I don't think he'll get a head coaching job this year. I think he's likely a year or two years away from that. Still, pretty impressive that he's getting this interview right away. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md

He could be the perfect HC for Goff and that offense to get on the right track. Don't think if he is offered a position, that he wont go. _________________

The team set up McVay to succeed by putting so many weapons at his disposal and spending 70% of our cap on that side of the ball. They haven't done that for the defense... yet. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md

Good for him. Good guy and good coach, but I don't think he'll get a HC job this go around.
But if he does, I hope we snatch Mike McCoy as OC. |

Agree. He's much more hype than substance. His play calling in red zone is pretty bad and his run schemes are juvenile. It would be interesting to see if this offense is Grudens or mcvay or callahans. |

Like I keep saying every time you or someone brings this up, DY wasn't viewed as expendable until Callahan was hired and that's because Callahan has more two and three tight ends sets for the running game and doesn't use a full back.
The John & Jay Gruden offensive philosophy has always been to use the full back and to use him in the passing game as well as a match up mismatch out of the backfield.
Look at DY's stats from 2014 when it was all Jay Gruden's offense, both passing game and running game.
DY had 5 TDs in 2014 (3 rushing & 2 receiving).

In 2015, he was barely used at all. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md

I understand this but you write this like Gruden is working for Callahan not the other way around. He's the head coach- act like it is all I'm saying. If Callahan is doing something he doesn't believe in Shame on Gruden |

Go with a certain plan all offseason and then fire your run game coordinator and OL coach mid season?
Sure Gruden can override him but they didn't have a fullback on their roster because they weren't going to use one. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md

I think it is unlikely that he gets offered a head coaching job at just 30 years of age. I hope he doesn't go anywhere, the offense is the strength of our team right now and I'd like to keep continuity there. _________________

Hopefully we can stay staus quo on the offense for at least next year with the exceptions of Doctson contributing as a WR and possibility improving our LG & C positions on the OL. This offense is the strength of our team and for the most part it is very consistent and our young players should only get better. I'd like to keep the current coaches and players together for at least one more season. _________________ RIP SSF mike23md
