What do you guys want to see done this offseason?

I'd like to see the following:

1. Resign Kirk to a long-term deal

2. Move on from Joe Barry

3. Address the interior of the offensive and defensive line in the draft

4. Find solutions at both safety positions

5. Bring back Pierre Garcon and let DJax walk

re-sign kirk is top priority unless you want to return to losing 5-11 seasons.

The problem with that is it will take up $20 to $25 M of cap space. It might be smarter to just re-sign one of them and then to spend that other $10 M on the defense.

Colt is already under contract through 2018. He signed a 3 year deal last offseason.

As much as I moan about Chubby, I'm ok if we keep him for one more year. I have to say he has gotten better since he first started. The key for him is really very simple- be Respected and Feared rather than being liked. Ask (rather Demand) more from everyone- the coaches and the players. stop treating these rich talented players like snowflakes and substitute a kick in the rear end instead of offering your ample nipples to be twisted during practice. This may require a personality shift that he simply may not be able to do- my sense is Gruden has always been a pleaser and wants to be liked. Guess what Chubby? The fans and players will like you more if you win.

I understand the value of continuity when you are on the right track. Our offense is on the right track. yeah we need better running schemes and a commitment to run but sitting kindergarten coach and having him type 1,000 times on his toy iPad this off-season: "Even if we are behind by 14 points I will make sure we run the ball at least 4 out of every ten offensive plays" he may be able to graduate to first grade. Or better yet, Gruden should take ownership of the run and pass game, the schemes and use the coaches as a team to build game plans, but during the games Gruden should call the plays.

The defense is another story. Yes we are short of talent, but this unit is on the wrong track. Continuity when you are going the wrong way is simply dumb.We need new leadership for this unit and desperately need a new DL coach. Get the best money can buy- Bowles or Phillips and empower them on who plays and scheme design. focus on what you are good at and Gruden is good as an offensive coordinator especially in the pass phase.

Note to Scotty Mac- As Ragnar said to Ivar the Boneless- "Be Ruthless" in contract negotiations, player retention, free agency and in the draft.

I don't want Doctson to be our #4 either but we can't count on him to stay healthy and be a starter. That's why you franchise DeSean. You keep him around on the one yesr deal because you just don't know what you have in Doctson. Anything we get from Doctson will be a bonus, just like it would have been this year, but we certainly can't count on him to be healthy.

Wait...your response to me implied we can't keep both. Make up your mind

My response was keep in mind if we keep both it's going to cost us more than $20 M to do it. I think it's a hard decision to make based on their cost and truthfully I'm on the fence on it, in a perfect world though I want both. I'm not sure if it happens, but in a mock offseason, sure. Laughing

1. Scot McCloughan has to have a conversation with himself in the mirror about whether or not he can do this job with his new lifestyle choices. Because I don't think he can. He needs a home run draft and all he's getting are lousy singles. I am starting to wonder if the thing that made him drink was the thing that made him :such a great scout. I don't know, but Scot needs to approach this off-season with some of that.

2. Fire Joe Barry. It's not all his fault, but he sucks. No schemes, no preparation. There are pee wee team's that scheme and disguise blitzes better than this team. Get rid of him.

3. Franchise Cousins. It's pretty obvious his agent isn't going to take a deal that gives the Redskins some salary cap relief. Franchise him. Someone offers you draft picks, trade him.

4. Let DeSean Jackson go. This team is two years away from being a contender. Jackson is 30 and has one skill set: Speed. He doesn't catch to contact. He doesn't beat opposing DBa with route running. He's simply faster than everyone. And that skill is going to fail soon. Let him go. Cousins' arm really isn't suited his style of play. We signed Jackson with Griffin projected as the starting QB. Cousins is much more suited to timing routes and the intermediate passing game.

5. Do not put this team in a position where it has to draft for need. If Christian McCaffrey, Marshon Lattimore, or Mike Williams fall to you, you take them. You don't reach for a player. You solve your needs with free agency.

6. Defense is a priority in free agency ....but don't pass on offense. Lots of needs on defense and the Redskins have cap space to spend. This team is legitimately a good DC and 3-4 good defensive players away from getting to a conference championship. Calais Campbell, Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, Donta Hightower, Melvin Ingram, Eric Berry, Dontari Poe .... The list is long. But if for some reason Terrel Pryor isn't franchised .... You jump on that.

I love that draft and I really like those FA's!!! I know this team needs to find players that can stop the run and atleast collapse the pocket for the pass. DL is huge we have to find a way to possibly strike gold their twice. FA and the draft we have to find a stud! I like the idea of Berry and Baker because injuries happen and we need all the depth we can get and good football players are much needed here! Baker can play ST's and I bet he could find a place on the field even if it was just to spell Barry. I know I've been calling for us to take Watson but that's really just in a we can't resign Kirk situation where he is asking way more then we realistically can give! I'd try to keep both WR's but losing Jax and getting Berry or Poe or a absolute stud on defense I'd be alright with that! We really need to find a way to have a Denver type offseason for this defense!!! 2 awesome DL players or 1 and Berry and that's a heck of a free agency! We have the money and I'd try and lock up Breeland this year too! He's going to be a stud next year and probably better then Norman sign him now!!!!

Im opposite from both yall.
I want DJax, let Garcon walk.

Watched games all day today. Where college wrs with no hopes of making the pros going up and fighting for balls.
Garcon has given up doing that. We can find someone that will alot cheaper than having to sign him again.
