I was really hoping for Micah Hyde. Slot Corner and could have played a hybrid role and SS as well and moved Jones to Free Safety sometimes. Packers had him all over the field and all he did was make plays.

If we sign Hightower or Timmons, I bet we take Reddick in 1st round and move Kiko to other OLB. Just cant overpay. Some good LB talent in this years draft.

Would have some crazy speed coming off the edge.

Rumors floating around have us as still very active in Free Agency. We are being linked to several lower tier FAs that fit our personnel needs. It appears that we truly are trying to set ourselves up to draft the Best Players Available.

Loving this FA period so far.

Filling out roster nicely before the draft so we can take BPA.

Would like to see us go after another guard and a safety. Like the fact we are active in trade market too whilst not really giving up picks.

Hayes is a nice pick up. Think it's a great sign in rewarding our own going forward too and great these guys want to come back.

Fingers crossed for Lang and maybe Byrd although not sure we are willing to pony up for a Guard.

First time in a while I've felt like we have a competent front office.

I'm loving this free agency period. every move feels calculated, and not made to just make a splash. I hadn't seen anyone talk about Poe, He has a visit scheduled on monday with the colts. (assuming he leaves with out a contract) miami has reached out to him to potentially bring him in for a visit.

our D-line would be nasty with Suh-Poe- phillps at DT and Wake-Branch- new rams guy- (hopefully a drafted DE)

Monday AM updates, per Armando and the Miami Herald:

- Poe is unlikely due to the current price tag. Maybe if he is looking for a 1-year, prove it contract.. but he has too many other suitors at this point

- Timmons is being slotted for MLB and Kiko will likely slide over to WOLB (an extension for Kiko is still being worked on)

- SOLB Koa Misi will either take a pay cut, or be cut outright. Right now, his 2017 cap number is $4.78m

- Dolphins consider newly-signed OG Ted Larsen a swing backup more so than a bonafide starter, and his contract reflects that. 3 years, $5.65m with a 2017 cap hit of $1.42m

- OG Jermon Bushrod (an unsigned FA) is considered a fall-back option for Miami

Miami's cap number as of this morning is reportedly $19.6m, of which approximately $7m should be saved for rookies and UDFAs.

That leaves roughly $13 million to work with in 2017. With potential extensions to Landry and Kiko coming up, Dolphins cap situation is fairly snug at the moment. A Misi restructure and Dion Jordan release would add around $3 - $4 million.

Miami reportedly now has more interest in bringing back OG Jermon Bushrod to compete with Larsen, Steen, Urbik, and potentially some mid-round rookies for the two OG spots.

Agreed!!

On the bright side, at least we didn't overpay for a declining Dontari Poe.

Still TBD. Colts signed another DT this morning. Dolphins may still be in the mix for a one-year deal.

Those OG options are a big steaming pile of suck. Really wished they would have addressed that a little more.

Poe signed with Atlanta for 1-year, $8 million (up to $10 million with incentives).

I'm glad the Dolphins didn't pay that.

The Falcon's had to make that signing while their window is at its peak. Gotta be able to slow down Elliot in a NFC Championship Game.

Dolphins officially re-sign OG Bushrod. Feels meh, but I get it. Hopefully they bring some rookies into camp to push the guys on the roster.

I wouldn't have minded, honestly.
