Really wanted Snacks on the team last year... he was the best NT in the league and repeated his performance this past season... but some were scared away by the (generic) term "2-down player". Only Casey played more snaps on our Dline than him.

Not going after Hayward is the other non-move that stands out (bringing these players up since they're on the PFF teams).

Snacks undoubtedly would have been nice, but his biggest addition to a team would be run stuffing, and we were 2nd in the NFL in rushing yards per game and tied for 12th in ypc allowed.

Hayward would have most certainly been an upgrade though.

What I'm worried about is us "Kevin Dyson'ing" this draft/FA.

Randy Moss was the Hall of Fame WR. But Kevin Dyson truthfully fit what we were doing on offense a lot better at the time. Kevin ran more of the route tree while Moss was a deep ball threat.

I dont want us to overlook a talent just for fit. If that makes sense...

Kind of shocked anyone was let go but I like it. WR was pretty limited with talent though. CB coach and S coach should've been look at hard as well because those DBs were the true liabilities.

PFF's grades suck, but just as another reference, they have their 2017 FA tracker up now, which includes their grades:

Talking about FA...I just want to put it to"paper." I think they will look at Kenny Stills Wr from Miami and Terrence Williams from the Cowboys. Especially Williams, they play in a similar system to ours and he can produce being maybe the 3rd option, I think a bigger role my see more production.

I like Stills a lot and definitely think he can add a big play threat plus offers that speed element. I don't think we'll be targeting that "#1 guy" everyone wants.

Cory Curtis' interview with Munchak. Nothing really new here I don't guess, but kinda interesting anyway:

Quote:
I got the opportunity to sit down with Mike Mularkey yesteday and probe a little deeper about the season that just unfolded.

First the coach is still down about Jacksonville, but he's also tired. The season is a long grind, game after game and when the reality of it ending sets in so does the reality of the exhaustion....

We all have our own opinion of what's "most" important during the season I wanted the coach's take.

1) Most important offseason move you made? "DeMarco Murray
trade"

That answer came without hesitation.
His reverence and respect for Murray was on a full blast in his
press conference Monday.

2) Most gratifying win? "Green Bay Packers"

This one also came with ZERO hesitation and I can't say
that I blame him. Yes, the win over the Super Bowl champions
was symbolic and the win at Kansas City was amazing, but
blurting out the Packers in front of the world. That' the game
that got the NFL's attention.

3) Most upsetting loss? "Jacksonville Jaguars, yeah."

There was actually a slight hesitation and then a short smile
acknowledging there was no way around the devastation of
that loss. I know the losses to Indy and at Houston were very
frustrating, but they just don't measure up.

4) Most trying moment you faced as a head coach this season?
"Most trying moment? Uh... Getting the team ready after
that loss for the next one which was a very important game
with nothing at stake."

This was a good answer and there were other options...
Watching Mariota go down with a fractured leg, firing good
friend Bobby April or the 1-3 start that had the vultures
circling.

5) And the most underrated player who performed for you this
season? "First one that came to mind was Josh Kline who was
on the street. Jon, we picked him off waivers and starter for the
rest of the year. I mean, in a very good offensive line."

He had a long pause before answering that question. He sees
so much more than we do on a daily basis. But, Kline was also
my choice. When you don't talk about a lineman much that's
usually a really good thing. He stepped in and didn't just replace
the injured Chance Warmack, he was better than him.

Wolf is a tard that has no inside information with the Titans, him writing this article means no more than one of us doing it.

The only guys with any kind of inside information now are Curtis and Kuharsky, and even then they're lacking. I'd actually suggest following Curtis over Kuharsky, Curtis had more info on FA visits and their status last off-season than anyone else who is on the beat for the Titans.

Hell, I'm just surprised that the idea of these names was even mention by anyone outside of this message board. I honestly can't see us breaking the bank for one impact player. Smile

If Donta Hightower were to hit free agency that would be huge. It will never happen but it would transform us if we got him.

We have the money to make at least 2 huge deals. I think we spend all the money on Eric berry and trumaine Johnson. Then throw another $6 million per year at prince or AJ bouye. That still leaves us with a boatload of money.

I would love to get another pass rusher but I don't see it happening. We have so much cap that we should be able to address all needs before the draft. Then go BPA.

Anyone who is expecting us to sign multiple big name free agents is going to be sorely disappointed.

Bouye really intrigues me, definitely more than Prince. He's a guy I personally wouldn't mind overpaying a little bit, because I think he's going to continue to grow into a really good corner.
