Could be just keeping options open in case someone goes down but if Decker is healthy and we sign him, good god almighty the WR core will be nasty.

Best part about a Decker signing is that's douglas will be gone.

Matthews
Davis
Decker
Sharpe
Taylor

Depth isn't a bad thing here folks!

Would it be Douglas? Does Douglas contribute on ST? Sharpe doesn't. A 4th/5th WR with no ST usage? Seems odd. He better get talking to the ST coach.

We have Weems too who's a WR and is a ST on both sides of the ball

I don't think it's too much of a stretch if Wright considered himself the most talented WR on the Titans' roster last year. His efficiency last year is definitely at or near the top of our WR group. It was never talent with Wright... it was always something else... injury, personality, whatever... and Mularkey and staff obviously were done with it. But there's not doubt that based on just production and talent, Wright should have been no worse than #2 last year.

As far as Decker, it makes too much sense. Yes, we drafted 2 WRs with our first 3 picks... but success is anything but a given. Both WRs are coming from smaller conferences and we don't know how much of a learning curve there'll be. Decker has the flexibility to play outside or in the slot (he's actually considered one of the better slots in the league), so he'd definitely have a role here. As far as depth, Weems would get the 5th spot due to STs. If we carried 6 WRs, the 6th guy would probably be the weekly inactive, but versatility will likely be key. McBride may offer that better than Douglas or Sharpe.

I get the feeling Decker visiting is just us keeping our options open in case something comes of the assault accusations on Sharpe.

Wonder if we could find someone that sees something in Sharpe to get a 6th or 7th rounder for him.
Or maybe one of those DGB type trades for a corner or safety.

I'm all for Decker. The likelihood of Davis being a home run in year 1 is pretty slim. Anything he does over 600 yards, 50 catches and 5 TD's is great. But I'd rather have a proven guy like Decker around if he (and Taylor) go through rookie growing pains. Much better option than Douglas.

Decker's wife is a singer too and no doubt pushing for him to sign with a team in Nashville. I expect this to happen soon.

He listed that as a reason for the visit. Since he is from here, they used it like a "Pre-Draft Visit."
Getting to know him and making sure he is healthy.

Oh boy. If she has a say in it, Decker cannot say no to this:

So we're Decker's first visit? I'm all for bringing him on if he is healthy. The reward far outweighs the risk. Let's offer a two or three year deal and be done with it (only 30 after all). Plus signing him now will give him plenty of time to learn the system.

Does nothing but add to this team.
We are in a good position to even be thinking about it....In years past...this would be a no brainer..Decker comes in to be our #1 WR.

Now...We bring him in (maybe) and he is a part of the WR Core.
