I have some weird itchy feeling Warford could be.
Not that I am a huge fan, I just have a feeling.

I hope not.

Like I reported a week ago, Russell Okung's market will be fruitful. Multiple teams interested. May get close to his previous 12M/yr option.

I'm not paying him that.
Too rich for an overrated LT to me
$10M was on my high end even with an inflated market.

If Kalil has no intention of resigning in MN, I'd pay Okung that kind of money. Having to rely on Clemmings was a disaster and this year's LT draft class is awful.

Two years of mediocre play from Okung at 10-12 million per year wouldn't be a terrible deal, we just have to draft and develop a replacement by the 2018 draft.

I hope MN can sign two quality OL to a 9-12 million dollar contract each. Okung and Wagner. Or Okung and Zeitler/Lang.

I think the best case scenario would be to get either Okung or Whitworth on a 2-3 year deal, and either Wagner or Reiff on a 4-5 year deal. Then we can grab a starting RG and a developmental OT in the Draft. Probably a late round IOL guy too.

I don't think it is worth the money to grab someone like Zeitler; I don't like spending big money on a RG, especially when we need so much help at OT.

LT: Okung/Whitworth, Rookie1, Clemmings
LG: Boone, Berger/Kerin/Rookie3
C: Easton, Berger/Kerin/Rookie3
RG: Rookie2, Berger/Kerin/Rookie3
RT: Wagner/Reiff, Sirles, Hill

My dream line would be Whitworth / Boone / Easton / Moton / Wagner, with Antonio Garcio as the LT of the future.

Throw in a 3rd-4th round RB and a mid/low tier FA RB to compete with McKinnon and we should be good to go on offense.

Why are we starting Easton over Berger?
Berger has been our highest rated lineman the past 2 years?

I really like what Easton has shown when he got playing time, and Berger is really old. It will obviously be a training camp battle but the best case scenario is if Easton wins the job. We might need Berger to fill in or compete at guard as well.

I also did like it. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Berger start at guard over a rookie depending on how the draft shakes out.

But no reason to have Berger on the bench I don't believe.

I don't give a crap what school he came from. He went from barely seeing the field to an almost 1,000 yard receiver in one year. On a team that still has crap at wide receiver minus Diggs. The question should be is he that good or are his stats simply inflated? I will give him credit for taking advantage of his opportunity but like I said - do it again.

Oh and this time around in a different offense.

He does everything well though, there is no reason to think he won't be able to sustain his production. Even two years ago I was always impressed with how he played and wondered why he didn't get more time. He has prototypical size and athleticism, he is strong attacking the ball, he has the the most reliable hands on the team, and he runs good routes. Most importantly he always works extremely hard and does the little things well.

EDIT: Umm... I meant to hit 'quote' but I think think I hit 'edit post' instead.... sorry for deleting your post, Freakout... stupid mod powers.

So, you'd give up proven upside in exchange for potential upside?

I would give up a player that is likely the 3rd best receiver on most teams for a chance at getting a new starting offensive linemen. The fourth pick in the second round could be packaged with one of our thirds to move up higher in the first round.

So you wouldn't have taken an unproven Aaron Donald over a proven Shariff Floyd?

So we are going to give up Thielen and 2 picks to move up and select 1 player? And it will be a Offensive Lineman? No.

I would be very upset to see us, give up Thielen, 2 draft picks, to select an unproven player.

Aaron Donald was selected at #13, even with a 36 and a 48 I can't see us getting up that high with the pick.

Ben Goessling‏ @GoesslingESPN
The Vikings want to bring back punter Jeff Locke, who hits free agency Thursday, but several other teams are interested in the punter.

Oh? He did improve last year.

Darren Wolfson @DWolfsonKSTP 4m4 minutes ago
Told #Vikings have expressed some interest in Mangold. But top focus seems to be on Wagner, or a different tackle. OL remains top priority.

He improved, but he was still either below average or near the bottom of the league in most stats.

I would rather see what Anger can do, or take Lechler until his leg falls off

Nick Mangold would be interesting. Age is a real thing with him tho. 33.

I like seeing Wagner. Hope he is in the cities this weekend.

I personally want Locke back. I believe he's still trending upwards and he did a good job putting the ball within the 20 last year
