At least I don't have to worry about us giving this guy a ton of money this off season.

So happy.

Floyd is such a knucklehead. I always shake my head when these guys just kill their future earning potential. Licht is going to resign Shepherd, it will be interesting to see who he targets. VJAX was Dominik signing. Best value for dollar maybe Garcon. Won't cost as much as Jeffery and Jackson. Decent speed, willing blocker and a gut with attitude.

Still believe Licht would still draft another WR with a signing.

I would rather go after a receiver who just finished his rookie contract. That way we'd be getting more years out of them. That said, adding two more guys would be heads and shoulders above we got right now.

I would expect they will try and sign Evans to an extension this offseason. I have a hard time believing in two years they will have $20 million or more dedicated in cap space to the top 2 WRS. For this reason, I would be surprised to see Licht go after Jeffery.

If you're right about going younger, I looked at the UFA list and came up with four possibilities.

1. Robert Woods - Buffalo - I would be surprised if the Bills don't lock him up because he is their pseudo #1 WR with Watkins being injured.

2 Brian Quick and Kenny Britt - LA - I think there is a good possibility one of these two doesn't get resigned. Tavon Austin got a pretty good extension. I would be surprised if the Rams will want to resign both.

3. Coradelle Patterson - Minny - Potential high reward, but really has under achieved. They would have to believe that Monken could bring out the talent that for whatever reason didn't consistently show with the Vikings.

The cap is going up at least $10 million, there isn't going to be a lot in free agency. Its going to be bargain bin shopping and hope you find a couple of gems.

No. I'm pretty sure the rule is that you can only use the franchise tag once.

He's from the state of Georgia. We could offer the cash, up and coming team and defense with the cash along with being what a couple hours from home.

Atlanta doesn't have the cap.

I'm with the notion. Will probably be the highest paid safety in the league this off-season but he's well worth it.

Need a DT next to McCoy who can penetrate. I thought Short signed an extension with CAR?

Licht has to get bang for his buck at WR in free agency. He can't swing and miss at this position. He gambled and lost badly thinking VJack would be healthy and Murphy could make it back.

If Berry hits the market I'll be shocked. If... If that happens then we better be his first visit. FA won't make you the playoffs, just look at Jacksonville. 3 wins and the biggest spenders. However, if you do it smart with safe signs and value adds then go for it.

I'll be shocked too but no franchise tag means KC needs to lock him up ASAP before hitting the market. They'll have to clean up some heavy contracts Bc he will cash in.
