Minnesota's most recent preseason meeting against each 2017 preseason opponent.

Week 1: at Bills (2013, Week 2)
Week 2: at Seahawks (2016, Week 2)
Week 3: vs. 49ers (2013, Week 3)
Week 4: vs. Dolphins (2001, Week 4)

I live in Sierra Vista (just north of the Mexican border) and I was hoping the same. Sadly this year, the best we can hope for is an away playoff game.

For what it's worth, I went to our last game vs the cards and the stadium had maybe 1/3rd Vikes fans in it. Probably a lot of snowbirds.

Half of southwest Minnesota and it's crop farmers have houses down in Mesa. Usually the cheapest flight out of Sioux Falls is Mesa. Drive around Mesa and you are more Vikings flags in people's yards than Cardinals. Minnesotans like Arizona.

I also have a complete updated list on the Vikings Offseason Tracker thread on the first page of saying where and when they met, with a few more added names they have not found

I've heard their stadium is pretty awesome. I went to a Vikings game last year in Minnesota so I am anxious to compare the two

It's a pretty nice stadium, and the plaza around it is a pretty fun place to go before and after games. The new Vikings stadium has a larger, more open feel inside, but the open top on the Card's stadium is pretty cool.

What you see in the pre-draft process isn't always what you get. There's always a player who goes from potential star to post-draft bust, but who among each franchise's history is the biggest bust of them all?

NFL Nation reporters have gone back as far as 1979 to find every team's draft dud.

Minnesota Vikings
WR Troy Williamson | No. 7 overall, 2005

The Vikings' immediate attempt to replace Randy Moss, with the pick they received from the Oakland Raiders in the trade for Moss, was an abject failure.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/page/32for32x170413/biggest-nfl-draft-bust-evers-all-32-teams-all-flops-modern-era

I'm sure he was picked because of how high he was selected, but the biggest bust by far for me was Dimitrius Underwood...even though he was significantly overdrafted in the first place (probably was a late 2nd-early 3rd rd talent). But, I guess that should just be viewed as a wasted pick and not a bust.

Was inadvertently leaked by an owner a few days ago, but now it's official. Who's going to be the NFC North opponent in Week 17?

Probably The Lions.

Haven't faced them week 17 since 2013.

Perhaps we'll be battling for a wildcard spot with them?

Since the NFL made all Week 17 games in-division contests
2016 vs. Chicago
2015 at Green Bay
2014 vs. Chicago
2013 vs. Detroit
2012 vs. Green Bay
2011 vs. Chicago
2010 at Detroit

That would make it Thanksgiving vs. the Lions 2 years in a row? I can't imagine that's correct.
