Vegas ... MIN odds to win the SB52

February - 16/1
Mar 20 - 33/1

[they seems not to like our gain/lost free agent signings]

Probably has more to do with Petersons situation than anything else. He's still a big name.

Vegas is smart enough to not care about Peterson. I bet it is more likely the fact that the Patriots got even better, and the Packers adding Bennet doesn't help either.

Jameis Winston, Ezekiel Elliott head All-Under-25 team

Defensive end: Danielle Hunter, Minnesota Vikings
Danielle Hunter recorded 12.5 sacks and, according to Sam Monson at Pro Football Focus, 55 total hurries last season.

Brian Robison got a contract extension to 2018

Will earn $7.5M over the next 2 seasons (2017 & 2018), with $5.15M in guarantees

[I'm guessing this replaces his $6.6M salary he was set to make in 2017 alone]

I'm fine with this, opens up a little more money, keeps a little more depth at DE/DT rotation.

Nothing wrong with the move. Might be an indication that Robison will have a reduced role to allow Hunter to get on the field more.

Robison can also still be cut after this year with no cap implications, and should create nearly $2M in cap space for 2017.

Great move.

Here's a better breakdown:

Just dawned on me that we got 20 sacks from our LDEs last year, wow!

With linebacker Chad Greenway retiring and running back Adrian Peterson released, Robison has now spent more time with the Vikings than any other player on the current roster.

Robison has been a good player. Definitely have enjoyed watching him.

IMO, the extension of Robison one more year is less about creating cap space today and more about planning for depth at DE for one more year into the future.

He is versatile and can continue to mentor young DL.

This is the type of move that also applies to, and made sense for other units; e.g. DBs & Newman.

Robison has quietly become one of my favorite Vikings. He certainly will never be a hall of famer and at this point be probably isn't a ring of honour guy either. But I love the way he plays and more importantly I love what he has meant to this rebuilding process over the last few years.

You can just tell how much the rest of team respects him and how much of a leader he has grown into. I love that he is willing be a role player if the best thing for the team, you can tell that bringing a championship here is really important to him.

Also seems like a really cool guy, glad he's going to keep hanging around.
