Dont think its official yet. Still some issues to work out but im expecting it to happen. We want the McDermott and Mike McCoy duo. Gonna have some McCoaches... i hope lol
Hopefully it will result in some seasons with McDouble Digit wins.

Great to see some old posters resurface with the coaching search going on, hopefully whoever gets the job will give everyone something to hang around for. I

I appreciate the info on McDermott, Marshawn. I read up on him some before I went to bed and there is a lot to like. I'm a bit surprised we went with a defensive guy because I thought the defense was probably an easier fix but clearly the Bills don't think so. Also, he's a 4-3 guy so I'm sure we'll be reverting back to that this offseason.

First of all, haven't been around in a couple of years, so: Hey!

Second: Lynn as the HC would probably assure we get Tyrod back (which I'm very much in favor of, as D was our problem this year).

Let's keep some kind of consistency. Changing it up every few years hasn't done anything for us.

This is how i thought as well to start the search. I wanted Lynn just for some consistency and a bonus is he is a hot commodity. However he became my #2 guy once I saw what exactly McDermott has done. I remember when Sean was an Eagle and his name was tossed around a few time for HC. He was a lot like Lynn currently but younger. Greatly respected, good years as a coordinator... but he just didnt have the experience yet. Cant believe that was 6 to 8 years ago.

Ian Rapoport said we are having are second interview with McDermott today. I wonder if the Pegulas flew him to Bocca haha.

Also this:

I don't really know anything about him but I like the idea of McDermott handing the reigns to someone he trust and not calling plays himself.

I'm getting pretty excited now. He seems like a good candidate and I want to make this thing official. Very interested in seeing if his McCoy links turn out to be true and what ends up happening at that position in general.

I would rather the Bills hire Lynn. Or Chip. Or maybe Cam Cameron.

Seems like some speculation but would be a nice hire considering what he did with the Texans secondary who is #2 in the league. And he has experience calling plays. He has been interviewed as a DC canidate before in the NFL.

He will still run McDermotts defense but will give Sean eyes in the sky if he is in the booth.

This is a Terry Pegula world and we all just live in it. Just accept what our gracious god gives us.

Also, I'm just browsing reddit and reading some of the comments around McDermott and there are a lot of Panthers fans who are really dreading losing him which makes me feel pretty good about the potential hire. Their defense was really lacking in talent but seemed to be coming together near the end of the season which points to his ability to coach and adjust given the players he is given which is something I view as a big positive.

Just some pure speculation but I'm seeing some buzz that McDermott might bring in mike McCoy as his OC which I would be thrilled about. I don't think tyrod is a franchise qb but I see him as a higher end stop back player for us. If McCoy does end up here, do you guys think we'd take a shot at getting Philip Rivers to buffalo? And would you want him?
