So the NFL is going to expand the NFL Europe thing to 4 games next season.

Due to our poor performance this season, I'll bet you 10:1 that the Saints will travel to Europe next season.

They'll make the announcement on December 13th of who is going (I assume just home teams at this point, but maybe they'll announce "home" and opponent).

Nothing better than stealing from the local economy of NFL home cities.

Thoughts?

It's already been confirmed, Saints are playing Dolphins in the UK. The Dolphins are giving up a home game for it.

No argument there. We've already seen the NFL Europe experiment crash & burn once. Not sure why Goodell keep this crap going.

Even the Mexico City game. Have you watch that? They've got a fence with barbed wire on top keeping the fans away from the players, and about 20 feet of tarped area between the fans and the field. What a "great experience".

It's horse [inappropriate/removed]. Part of being American nowadays is having to cater to the wants and needs of other countries that would never reciprocate. It needs to stop, I'm sorry American football is better than your football, but it's American football and needs to stay in America.

So, how many of you have ever travelled outside the US? Or, your home state?

I've been to Mississippi quite a few times.....and on road trips to Florida and Tennessee when I was little. That's it. I'd love to travel more but that costs money and free time. Hopefully I can in the future.

I travel a lot, some business, some pleasure. I'm pretty sure I'd never travel outside the US to watch football, but who knows.

Living in Iowa we're pretty spoiled. We've got close stadiums.
Minnesota - 4 hours
Kansas City - 3 hours
Chicago - 5 hours
St. Louis was about 5.5-6 hours, so it sucks that it's done.
Indy - 7 hours
Green Bay 7 hours
Denver 8 hours

So traveling to see some ball isn't a big deal, but any further than an 8hour drive, I'm flying. At that point, it doesn't really matter where, flights are really starting to level out.

I travel all over for work, I enjoy interacting with other cultures. Doesn't mean I want to play my home games in London.

So, I (for one) am glad they play NFL games in London. I am stationed in England so it'll be the only chance I get to see my beloved Saints in 10 years. So, sorry if I don't agree with some of the comments in this thread.

One thing I've always wondered, what happens to the season ticket holders that lose a home game overseas? Do they get a refund? Is the ticket good for the game? Do they just simply lose a game?

Even Antarctica? Wow! I've only been to 4 of the 7 continents. That's cool, Worm. I bet you have some great stories.

I think I misread the intent of some of the comments and reacted (got irritated). Sorry. To me, it sounded like people were bashing England just because the NFL plays a couple games in London. Again, I probably took things the wrong way. For that, please accept my apology.

First of all, thanks for your service.
Now, you like the games in London because you're stationed in England. That's great! So should we expand to NFL Japan, Africa, NFL Afghanistan (LOL, they'd sh*t when they heard the term "Pig Skin") and everywhere else people are stationed?

Sure, it's great for some fanfare, no argument there. What it sucks for is the players and their families, and the economy for the home team that literally loses a game. They lose 1/8 of their revenue because Goodell has a hard on for Europe.

Here's on for you. Did you know the NFL has yet to sell out a game at Wembley? They consistently fall over 6000 short of a sell out. woo.....
