How does Watson compare to Geno Smith coming out of school?

Completely different QBs IMO. Geno Smith was a rhythm QB that if he got hot and his 1st read was open, can put up some eye-popping numbers. But he sucked at making tough throws. Watson on the other hand can fit balls into tight windows, make accurate throws on the run, and does a great job adjusting the velocity on his throws. He's a much better passer than Geno coming out of college. Watson's mechanics need a lot of work though, but you can say that about a lot of QBs.

Either way I wouldn't compare Watson to Geno at all...

Yup, and I think when you look at their overall leadership qualities and professionalism Watson is head and shoulders over Geno Smith. I remember reading some damning things on Smith about feeling entitled, etc.

Kareem Hunt - Ryan Williams out of V-Tech?

I keep seeing this.

Jamaal Williams==Le'Veon Bell

^^^^^^^
This is true

I think he's too stiff to be Le'Veon. I see Melvin Gordon. Tough, well balanced runner who plays above his weight.

Haven't seen the receiving game out of him either.

I agree he hasn't proven the receiving part.

I think in terms of his patience then waiting for holes to open up and accelerating he looks similar to Bell. Williams is one of my sleepers so I'm biased

I would say other ones would be

Jamal Adams- Nick Collins
Eddie Jackson - Devin McCourtey

Deshaun Watson - Aaron Brooks
Mitch Trubisky more talented Alex Smith

Dalvin Cook- Clinton Portis
If Trubisky is a more talented Alex Smith, then he's not really Alex Smith then, is he? This isn't the first time I've seen this comparison either, and it's not a good one. Trubisky's arm is far better than Smith's for starters.

I've floated the Watson->Brooks comparison in my head before, but I couldn't rationalize it considering Brooks had a power arm.

I see the Trubisky->Smith comparison a lot. I think that's selling what we've see from Trubisky so far, even with the "more talented" footnote. I'm still working through a good comp for him. I've also heard Trent Green.

Clinton Portis is actually a placeholder comp I have for Alvin Kamara, although he's clearly not as fast. When I think Portis I think explosive one-cut ability, I don't think Cook has that. I actually liken Cook to another great Miami running back, Edgerrin James. He's smooth on the accelerator like Edge was.

If you want to see a guy with a similar style to Bell, in my opinion, watch Keenan Hunt.

Alex Smith had better arm strength before he hurt his shoulder if I remember correctly

If anyone has comps for these players let me know, I've been trying to drum some up but wanna see what you guys have to say.

Budda Baker: Honey Badger? Eh, that comp gets thrown out to pretty much any smaller DB with good instincts and ball skills, not saying its a bad one.

Tre'Davious White: Janoris Jenkins?

Jarrad Davis: ??

Marlon Humphrey: ??

Kevin King: ??

Also; if anyone is solid with OL evals, how would you compare Greg Robinson and Cam Robinson? Obviously GR was very raw coming out and in hindsight waaaaaay overdrafted but are the similar at all?

Budda Baker: Glover Quin

Jarrad Davis: Al Wilson

Marlon Humphrey: Stephon Gilmore

Kevin King: Jonathan Banks

I heard White improved a lot this past season...haven't watched him since last year and I was not impressed. Every time I watch LSU, I'm watching Beckwith and Adams.

Kevin King reportedly jumped 39.5" in the vert and 10'10" in the broad. He also posted a 6.40 3-cone and a 4.02 shuttle. These times are notoriously generous, but Jonathan Banks isn't even in the same neighborhood as an athlete.

Yea, it's hard to forget Treadwell embarrassing White last year.
