Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports that Washington WR John Ross is "in the conversation" for the Bengals at No. 9.
Pauline additionally reports that the Bengals do not have qualms about Ross' rather extensive injury history. No. 9 is about as high as we have heard for the Washington speedster. Pauline, himself, does not see Ross off the board until No. 21 (to the Lions) in a four-round mock draft released last week.

I'm fine with this. Ross is one of those rare next level speed guys. I think if the top couple of guys on our board are gone (Barnett and Thomas), I could see us taking Ross...

I love Ross as a player. Just scared of all his injuries to take him at 9 honestly.

I love Ross. I would be very happy. Hope we can trade down a few spots first

I would love to trade down and take him. He would be a huge asset on offense. Just need him to stay healthy. Dont want him, Eifert and Green missing games all season

He reminds me too much of Breshad Perriman(sp?). He will have a chance to make plays if he ever stays healthy. More likely than not, we move on from him before he ever makes a difference for us, due to injuries. I'd pass if it were up to me. Especially with the other WR talent available this year. I'd rather have Davis at 9 if we have to go WR there (I know it's a reach, but Ross would be too if we took him at 9).

Always interested to see what Lapham says. He thinks we go Ross at 9 if we dont trade back. If we are able to trade out, we go pash rusher with Barnett, Harris, or McKinely.

Not on the Ross bandwagon.

Paul Dehner posted his mock today:

1. Allen
2. Kamara
3. Sydney Jones
3 (trade up giving up our first 4th and a fifth). Kpassagnon
4. Roderick Johnson
5. George Kittle (TE Iowa)
6. Jordan Evans, LB, Oklahoma
6. Zane Gonzalez
7. Malichi Dupre
7. Sean Harlow, O line, Oregon State

Personally, I would be pretty darn happy. Jones would be a great investment in the 3rd. Johnson in the 4th is a good project. They double up on DE. Durpre in the 7th would be a miracle.

I'd be thrilled with this. Seems realistic as well...

I'd love it but Dupre is the guy I want if we wait to go WR. Maybe he can be this year's Billings and slide, but I doubt he'd slide that far

Not that high on trading up for Kpass compared to Hendrickson, Walker, Smoot, Basham, and Lawson that might be there. But I would be so ecstatic with Allen and Kamara that it would lessen the blow. Sydney Jones is great value in the third but I'd rather have a 2nd tier WR or one of the top centers.

I think it's all smoke and mirrors but I do hope the Browns take Trubisky number 1. It could be a very chaotic draft where a stud falls to us at 9.
