You all think Marcedes will retire after this year?
Also, what are your thoughts on Ben Koyack? He was a 5 star recruit out of high school and went to a school that is well known for developing pro TEs. You think he can take over the #2 TE duties full-time?

I think there's a strong chance that Marcedes retires. Either that or 2017 will be his last year. Koyack will probably be the #2 TE heading forward, but I'd be surprised if we don't bring in competition for both him and Neal Sterling.

You all think Koyack can be a long-term starter, or just a fill-in type of guy?

I guess you could say that he's had two solid games this year.

Julius isn't an in-line TE. Not sure why JAX thought he was. He's a classic Move TE. Maybe they should run some more plays where he is the H-back. I'd be interested to see that.

Koyack seems like just a fill-in type of guy, but it really depends on how he continues to develop.

I would need to re-watch, but this past game was probably the best game of his career so far.

Yeah, I think you're right. Spot-starter. JAX might look towards the draft to get an upgrade at TE. This year's class is pretty good.

we may not be using him right, but you can tell by his effort that he isn't giving us what he gave Denver. he falls down immediately after catching the ball 90% of the time, never fights hard for yards, always looks sluggish when he runs as if he's not going at 110%. never seen him make a huge effort to catch a ball that might be slightly off target. I think he plays a little harder when we're in the redzone. meh.

I hope Koyack continues to get playing time next year. Doubt he'll be the starter, but he ain't half bad. There are other holes on your team like OL and LB that need to be addressed before TE.

Are you all looking to upgrade at FS as well?

This team is solid at linebacker maybe back end depth we need a SS not a FS.. if Gipson doesn't produce this year he may be on the chopping block in the 2018 offseason.

You won't keep Cyprien?

I just took a look at your LBs again, and meh, a pro-bowler would be nice. I guess you're right that it is solid, but Skuta and PP are old now.

How would you grade Koyack's end to 2016? Let's use Report Card Grades, so A+ to F please.

I'd probably say C+ to both. They played their roles well enough and flashed a little, but neither one should be starting and I wouldn't bat an eye to see either one replaced.

I think at least Koyack, if not both make the roster again next season though.
