If Zach Cunningham and/or H.Reddick is not available, (maybe if he is too), I'd trade down and grab a 2nd.+ 3rd.. Then I'd get J.Davis, A.Walker and a CB. I'd consider grabbing Eddie Jackson for CB since he played there in his earlier time at Alabama. He was quite good by the way.

He didn't mention instincts...

I thought I was just missing something that I said. No one mentioned instincts.

However, he's only seen limited defensive playing time so far in his career. I don't think we can judge his instincts quite yet.

Jakuvious mentioned them, and a lack thereof on Maugas side ...

A Jakuvious is no one.

Just an FYI, Jak was talking about Mauga's instincts.

My only question is Ramik's contract length after all this? How much team control do we have left? Baseball term, but wasn't sure if we had any restricted rights to him after this year.

He's under contract for 2017 - if his conract expires then he'll be a RFA with 3 accrued seasons.

R.Wilson is fine as a backup. But he gets tied up in clutter, trash which prevents him from getting to the ballcarrier. I've seen too many Olinemen push him out of position too.

Wilson is no Zach Cunningham or even Jarrad Davis. Anthony Walker is being compared to LaVonte David. No one will confuse RW with LaVonte David. Haason Reddick can play ILB, or any other LB position. He's got devastating interchangeability with pass-rushing skills. No one will accuse RW of being a pass rusher.

This upcoming draft presents the Chiefs with clear opportunities to immensely improve at Linebacker, a position of clear need and at ILB, a position that's gone unaddressed for far too long.

So then..do you grab a LB in round 1 or CB?

I tend to like 1st round LBs more than 1st round CBs, and tbh, 2nd round is good for both. Would you all consider RB in the first? Jamaal is old, and while West and Ware can do some work, they aren't top tier guys.

Just food for thought.

I personally like Ramik and think he'll continue to develop into a solid starter. I wouldn't be mad if we took Cunningham though. But I wouldn't go RB in the 1st. This draft is too deep and there's multiple guys that I like for our system. If Kamara is there in the 2nd I'd take him. Ideally 3rd or later.
