THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

MT&T BANK STADIUM
8:25LT KICKOFF

Can the Ravens avoid the let down loss after beating Pitt last week?
It looks like the Browns will trot Kessler back out there so at least we wont see Mccown out there throwing for 400 yards.

Notable Injuries: Ravens
Correa, Kamalei OLB questionable
Dixon, Kenneth RB questionable
Dumervil, Elvis OLB Out
Gillmore, Crockett TE Out
Wright, Shareece CB Out
Yanda, Marshal G/T doubtful

Browns:
Starting CB Jamar Taylor will not play

I am cautiously optimistic about this. I feel the ravens will take care of business but we all remember what happened back in 2007.

I say Ravens win 24-10

I don't understand these predictions. Are these supposed to be football scores?

I'm fairly certain the two numbers have to be within 8 points of each other.

fair enough,

24-20, but ravens are up 24-10 with 10 min to go in 4th and let the browns back in just in it so the streak of stressful games continue

Debating whether or not to go to tomorrow's game....

Not liking the fact that Yanda is listed as doubtful, but hopefully with Stanley loss the line won't look AS bad as it has recently without it's starters.

Correa is out for this game too. Pretty much the same guys that missed last game with Yanda added in unfortunately. With Kessler starting I'm not too worried about this one but if McCown comes in look out. He feasts on Pees' defense.

Would be really, really nice to see the offensive line open up enough room for the running game to get going again. The backs can't do it themselves. Nor should they be relied on to do so, that's not how a running game in the NFL works these days. Defenses are too fast up front for backs to have much time in the backfield to diagnose and make multiple guys miss to get yards. I just don't want to see Flacco flinging it from the pocket so much. He's still off and the pass protection can't be trusted anyways.

Defensively it's all about the pass rush for me. If that's vanilla and bland nothing is going to work. Luckily Pees seems to take a lot more risks in that regard when facing younger quarterbacks. Every other facet is pretty solid. Even cornerback with Smith and Young starting, although a third quality player there is pretty high on the wish list.

Cody Kesslerís work under pressure this season would be considered impressive for a 10-year veteran, much less a rookie who began the season third on the Brownsí depth chart. No quarterback has been under more pressure this season than Kessler (47.3 percent of his 146 dropbacks). His 84.4 adjusted completion percentage under pressure, however, is second only behind Tom Brady, and his 91.6 passer rating also sits second only to the New England QB.

Kesslerís ability to find outlets and checkdowns to salvage plays when the rush closes in shows his great understanding of how to play the position, regardless of how few NFL snaps he has under his belt. Itís worth noting, however, that the USC product is certainly starting to feel the effects of the high pressure numbers, with some injuries coming of late.

It may not be the best way to attack him, unless you can get home with the rush. To be fair though his 91.6 rating under pressure is lower than his total rating so I guess technically he doesn't perform as well.

This screams trap game, we are still not a good team

Browns 17 - 16 Ravens.

(I do hope we win though and put some pressure on both the Steelers and Bengals)

Nah. The best way to attack any quarterback is to get pressure on him. Can't let any of them sit back in the pocket and pick apart a defense. Makes it way too easy for the spread passing games used by most these days.

Good Luck at tonight's game, and hope we both avoid any further injuries.
I will be in the stands at M&T Bank stadium this evening with my Prayer Cloth LOL.

A well designed blitz? It's been a while since I've seen the Ravens do that...
