Greetings! Sharing my rankings for your scrutiny. I haven't posted much on this board since I joined so I figured I'd also give some links to quick recaps of my past rankings. Shoot any questions our disagreements at me; I can literally talk football all day. And it helps me sort my armchair eyes.

And Jalen Reeves-Mabin is not a first 3 rounds guy.

With an argument like that who would disagree.

I think he's overrated and this is a fairly deep class. I'm also increasingly leery of those SC WRs. He looks like a man among boys but doesn't always play like it. He can be out quicked in his routes, beaten to the catch point in the air, and run down.

I see a slower E.J. Manuel whenever I watch him. I'm genuinely unsure what people are seeing there.

A big pocket passing QB that makes checks at the LOS. Brilliant kid that has pretty good accuracy and a good enough arm to make every throw. Makes throws at every level of the field. He's a very safe prospect. Is his ceiling as high as others? No, but he has a very low floor. He's going to come in and man someone's starting QB job for 10-15 years. Keep in mind he was coached by a freaking buffoon for his first two seasons and still looked very good. He's a very good cerebral QB that puts the ball where it needs to be routinely. Chain moving guy that will keep your offense on schedule. A bit of a game manager, but I'm not so sure why that's a bad thing.

I want to wipe my butt with that EJ Manuel comparison. Not sure where that comp came from.

Jalen Reeves-Mabin is very small, doesn't play in the box, and can't handle taking on blocks. He has a shot to be a very good Nickel LB, but those kinds of guys grow on trees. He's easily washed out against power runs and is only really useful as that cleanup defender scraping over the top. Is he productive? Yep. Does he make splash plays? Sure. But he does not consistently execute and doesn't have the violence to play LB in a traditional defensive front. And let's talk about his coverage. He's not terrible, but he is most definitely not someone that I'd say locks down slot receivers. I don't see any place for him in the top 2 rounds. I guess round 3 wouldn't be CRAZY, but I just don't like him at all. He seems like a great player to combat spread offenses in college. Terrible fit for an NFL defense, where he'll have to stop the run vs. heavy fronts. And if he's only a nickel linebacker, it's a waste of a valuable draft pick.

I'll put my reputation on JRM becoming a nothing player in the NFL.

Malik Hooker?

I would love for him to return, but I don't think he will.

Watch Cooper Rush? He played really well against Oklahoma State this year I thought.

Took a longer look at Kaaya and you're right, slower Manuel is an awful comp. He's more Ricki Stanzi. Good game manger and I agree he can threaten all levels. But his WTH throws are frequent and everything is very deliberate with him. From his drop to delivery. He's basically a stationary college game manager. Not too many of those do much of anything in the NFL, let alone start for a decade.

Reeves-Maybin is small but he's more consistently physical and willing to take on blocks then 250lb Kendall Beckwith. I don't think he'll be a star but he's something like a more physical Panther's Shaq Thompson. Probably not quite the athlete but the same type of LB.

Haven't watched him enough to rank him yet. But the hype Matt Millen was laying on him last game was a little much. I'm skeptical.

I've seen a few games including that one and I'm not really a fan. Pedestrian arm strength, average size and mobility, deliberate drop. He's a functionally sound QB and has some clutch in him but doesn't look like an NFL starter to me.

Which position group do you expect to see the biggest flux?

Could the Trubisky hype push him significantly higher if he continues to lead NC like the previous weeks?

WR postion. Whole bunch of depth and not clear separation between them. After that maybe OTs and LBs.

First take, Trubisky looked to me like an athlete playing QB. But I thought the same of Dak Prescott when I first saw him. Prescott kept throwing and throwing and eventually started looking like a more natural QB. I think Trubisky could do the same but he needs experience.
