I'll take Foods That Start with the letter "Q" for 500, Alex!

Adding to the ticket selling discussion, anyone who is buying tickets with only the intention of selling them for profit is a total moron. The PSLs make it impossible to turn a profit for the year.

yeah nobody sits on a season ticket waiting list for 25 years, forks over $2k a seat and then gleefully begins to 'profit' a few hundred bucks a year. People just don't do that.

I'm sure there are some folks who moved, or got old and can't attend games anymore but have hopes of passing the tickets to a child or grandchild at some point and don't want to give up on 30 years of waiting they put in.

-------------------------

Were you in Waupaca Cty? That's where I hunt, usually among the top harvest counties in the state.

We have 6 tickets. Can't GIVE away the preseason tickets. Still full price. Grandma lived in Green Bay during the Lombardi era. We are very lucky.

Related to tickets, if anyone you know buys family night tickets only to re-sell them, please punch them in the face for me. Haven't been able to take my family of 5 because I'm not paying 40$ a ticket because some A-hole buys them all immediately. I'd rather let them eat a loss.

Waupaca is one of the few that harvests 10k+, but they have way more registration stations than the county I'm in.

Adding to the deer discussion, as someone who ran a top 3 deer registration station statewide and was one of ten trained by the WI DNR to do a variety of rare-case tests, we have way too many deer in urban areas.

What percentage of the registered kills came from non-resident hunters ?
Is the State of WI selling deer tags to "opposing" fans, errr hunters to make more cash ? Cool

I don't think I ever saw a single non-resident kill in all my time, and I'm in SE Wisconsin running a business that takes a lot of FIB money. Of course, there are no more registration stations since 2015.

I'm 100% positive they will gladly take ANYONEs money for deer tags. The insurance companies want them eradicated completely. Too many claims of deer totaling cars.

Finding deer north of Wausau is a tricky ordeal. Most of the deer are in the southern half of the state. As someone who hunts in Price County, it pains me.

Regarding deer in Wisconsin, the southern part of the state is some of the best deer hunting in the world, the northern part not so much. Hunting is a HUGE part of Wisconsin's tradition, i would LOVE to see a hunters orange Packers uniform.

1.2 million deer in Wisconsin according the the latest studies, 600k people hunt deer but like stated, not everyone kills one. Wild deer only live to about 7-8 years old in ideal conditions, with most being killed at 1 or 2 years of age.

Deer hunting is kinda my thing.

Why don't deer go to Northern Wisconsin?

I only know of their predatory habits and political agenda, not their preferred habitats.

Depends on what yer looking for . Guaranteed kill ? Southern part of the state is loaded with deer.
I've hunted Vilas County for decades and it has a very low population of humans, that's a huge bonus . Fewer humans = more enjoyable day in the woods.
Might get shut out, but that's just part of the deal.
We also get an early opening for U.P. season, so some years we hit both

Lincoln County is north of Wausau and it ain't that bad for deer. I have multiple relatives that hunt around Tomahawk and in Western Oneida County. They've had some good luck over the years. It can be hit-or-miss, sure, but I've had an uncle shoot a 15-pointer with a bow and another nail a pretty nice 8-pointer a couple years ago.

more bears, more wolves, less easy pickin' farm crops, harder winters

life is posh for deer in the central farmland and south/southwest forests.
