Anyone have any recommendations for a good shoe for hiking? Looking for something that provides good support but lighter than my boots. Preferably something that comes in a non-silly color (ie black, brown, grey).

Does anyone else on here watch The Expanse?

Usually Syfy puts out complete and total chit, but this could be the best sci-fi television series I've ever seen. If anyone on here enjoys gritty, realistic science fiction with a great plot I would HIGHLY recommend it. If you decide to give it a shot just make sure you get through the fourth episode: CQB (Close Quarters Battle) as that's where the story truly starts to come together.

Season 1 is on Amazon Prime for anyone interested.

Depends on the hiking you're doing. I like my goretex Merrell's w/ vibram soles for more rugged terrain. Keen are really great quality too and are crazy durable. If you're just doing distance in good conditions, you can't really beat a good pair of running shoes for comfort and quality (Asics, Saucony, Brooks are all good bets).

Both the Keen and Merrell on that site are good bets. But like I said, if you're just hiking trails and going for 10miles or something, a great pair of running shoes might be your best bet. If you're looking at runners, make sure you grab the right version for your foot. Find out if your foot pronates or supinates.

If you're going for quality, whatever you buy will probably be $100+ ($120 more likely) retail. Look for last year's model and you can usually save $$.

Experience: Former college runner and worked in a shoe store.

Do not eat the peep oreos. I had a bunch of those yesterday. It turns everything inside you pink, everything. Mouth, teeth, and even your stool. I have been pooping like a unicorn for two days and it is freaky.

You mean the bitter aftertaste wasn't enough to make you stop after the first one?
