Titans WR Andre Johnson is retiring today, per source.

Quote:

Former Texans great Arian Foster decided to hang 'em up last Monday, and Johnson followed suit this week. Although he spent the final two seasons of his career with division foes, Johnson will always be remembered as a Texan. Houston drafted Johnson with the third overall pick in 2003, and he repaid the favor with 1,012 catches for 13,597 yards and 64 touchdowns in 12 seasons. He finishes his career ninth in receptions, 10th in receiving yards, and 40th in touchdowns. Clearly one of the best receivers of his generation, Johnson is likely headed to the Hall of Fame.

First Arian, now Andre. 2 of the top 3 best players in Texans history all retired. Time is going by fast.

Hope we sign him to a 1 day contract so he can retire a Texan. Was a pleasure seeing him play as a Texan.

He fell off a cliff towards the end of his career, but man he was great as a texan. He needed 1 more solid year to move into top 5 all time in several categories. As it stands, He probably isn't a 1st ballot HOFer, but being that he's retiring perhaps the best player in Texans history and a top 10 WR statistically, i suspect he will eventually get in.

Pour some out for Andre and Arian. Two of my favorite players, for sure.

Great move by the organization. Andre deserves it.

Super-pumped he's retiring a Texan. It was expected, but still. I think he's Hall-worthy for sure, but aren't there a lot of receivers waiting their turn right now? Might be tough.

If you are a REAL Texan fan... watch his retirement speech.

http://www.houstontexans.com/

If somebody doesn't start cutting onions in the room when he talks about his moms.... you might be dead inside.
