We used 3 of our 30 private visits on qbs. Pretty obvious the jags want to draft one at some point this year if those numbers are true.

I don't know if i buy into the notion that there's some fire here just because of a few QB visits. For one, "private visits" are by their nature, more valuable when it comes to one-on-one time with the most important position and all the depth of things you'd want to know about a QB. Even if you're not going to draft the guy...it's smart to have a book on a guy coming out, know what makes them tick, etc. Especially if there's a chance they may end up in your division.

But if this is real smoke and they really are going to use a 1/2 round pick on a QB...they better find a way to deal Bortles and get something for him.

As draft inches closer, I'm having a real hard time getting hyped for Fournette.

Watch his 2015 tape when he was healthy.

Makes people miss, runs people over, has the next gear. Countless times last year even with our below average run blocking was there times where Yeldon and Ivory missed obvious holes. Don't think we'd have to worry about that with Fournette.

His running style and freakish ability I'd love to have here. I'd prefer to go a RB later like I said, but I don't know how you can't get excited about the thought of a guy with play-making abilities like that when we desperately need more on the offensive side. We've needed to find our next great RB since MJD left, Fournette would be that guy. Bortles I don't think finds the success we want if we keep making him throw and throw and throw absurd amounts a game.

Yeah. Honestly, i get the hesitation on a RB with a high pick...usually. But Fournette is pretty freakish and has the potential to be a guy who can truly dictate gameplans. Drag guys down into the box out of respect for what it takes to bring him down and how dangerous he can be when he breaks through. In addition to being able to fight yards out of some ugly situations. That's what this team needs if there's any chance Bortles is going to be the guy.

Obviously we need to build an actually respectable Offensive Line to get anything out of a high pick RB...that's the nature of the beast. But that's gotta be a priority regardless. You don't not draft a potentially special RB just because your O-Line currently sucks. You draft the RB and find ways to fix your garbage line.

Thing is, once Hackett took over to the end of the season we ranked top 5 in several rushing categories that are pretty telling. Not to say our OL doesn't still need work but I'm unsure how to feel about the OL going into next season. Obviously LG is iffy but Parnell, as the stats indicate, was much improved those final several weeks. Albert is better when healthy than Beachum. Linder is a rock of course. Cann is the biggest x-factor. Does he play like his rookie year or does he play like last year? Because there's no doubt he took a step back last year.

Completely agree on all points on Fournette though. He has some questions sure, but the guy is just so ridiculous. Like I said, if you give me the choice between taking a high end defensive guy and then grabbing a nice RB in rd 2-3 (there will be one), i'd prefer that route. But I'm not getting upset with the thought of Fournette whatsoever.

Even if a QB goes top 3 ST won't make it past Chicago.

And we assume Chicago spending on Glennon means they wont go QB? Couldnt they take a safety or CB? I mean we got lucky Ramsey fell to us, why not again Twisted Evil

Garrett, Thomas, Allen (But Chicago could go DB but I doubt it)

Everything I've heard from people I have found to be reputable and "in the know" in the past is that his shoulders are a non issue and most expect him to be gone in the Top 5 still.

Watson is continually being heavily linked to us. Daniel Jeremiah went on for a minute or two about it today...

and I hope it happens...

What if the Jaguars drafted Joe Mixon in the second?
