With this season looking like it's going to be time to clean house on the coaching staff, I figured it would be as good a time as any to start a thread to discuss the guys we want filling the roles on the team.

I want Jordan Palmer as the next QB coach, tbh.

I wish we could get Harbaugh but thats not going to happen so i'll settle for Matt Patrica but its not many options out there thats going to set the world on fire.. may have to dig in the crates and find a under the radar guy like Tomlin that the guys can connect with but yet and still won't take any bs from the players.

Im not loving many of the veteran options as I look around. I wouldnt hate Haley but he has plenty of flaws.

Patricia is probably my favorite candidate. Hed need to find a very good offense staff though.

What if the Browns do what the Browns always do and fire Jackson?

Do you think he'd be a good option?

Sashi is trying to build patiently. This is the same as our year one with Gus where they purged the entire roster of any value and started a full slow rebuild. As dumb as most Browns GMs have been, unless Jackson loses the locker room, he's fine.

also worth noting that the Browns are 0-7 Laughing
Not that that's all on Hue, that team is a dumpster fire all around, but seriously.
I'll throw Chudzinski's name into the hat because I wanted him in 2012 and think he got screwed over by Cleveland.

The Browns may be 0-7, but I've watched some of their games...they just don't have the talent to play a complete game. I mean, I remember that Dolphins game their kicker mised four field goals and lost by 2 or 3 points I believe.

He has been very impressive in Detroit. I just doubt he has enough experience for a team to really consider him as a HC.

I have a feeling the Lions would offer him their head coaching job if he was considering walking. He's more important than Schwartz is, and is really the only reason that team isn't a dumpster fire right now.

We need someone who actually gives a damn about the mechanical aspects of Blake's development on the staff. Someone like Goodwin or Cooter would be good on that front from a head coach, but I also think bringing in Palmer would make a lot of sense. Palmer is the one who got Blake ready for the draft and was instrumental in him skyrocketing up draft boards. He also worked with Tom House when they redesigned Blake's mechanics last year. The connection with Blake might be enough to get him to come here, and we know Blake will listen to him and actually can learn what's being asked. Palmer might not be the best QB coach out there, but insofar as being able to connect with how Blake learns, he might be our best option.
