GMTM and Bylsma have been fired. Damn. Thought Murray was safe but knew Bylsma was in trouble. I liked TM. About as much of a straight shooter as you'll get these days.

I liked Tim Murray too, but when you can't put together a playoff team over what 6 years? This is what you get.

I was just putting this in another thread. Im not a diehard Sabres fan as I am a bills fan but I do follow the sabres and will always root for them. This is worrisome as a bills fan because they both have the same owner and if Pegulas cant bring them to the playoffs in the 6 years on top of having so many high picks it means this can be the same route the bills take. Pegulas are great and appreciate everything they have done for Buffalo even though I do not live there but as a fan of a sporting team it seems like they dont know how to run an organization let alone 2.

The difference is the Sabres just feel closer to getting over the hump. They have essentially a ppg player in Eichel and a lot of great pieces around them. They need a couple of defenseman and this team will take off. Bylsma didn't need click with the players, I expected him to go. GMTM was shocking though.

we will see but I am not happy to see Pegula have a team for 6 years and the last 4 incapable of being off the bottom of the conference let alone a playoff contender. It seems like the bills are going to be in the same situation for the next 4 years.

The Sabres tanked dude.

This past year they might have made the playoffs if not for injuries which killed them to start the season. The year before was Jack's rookie year and the few before that were spent tanking for McDavid/Eichel.

I liked Tim Murray but not dealing Kuli or Franson at deadline was stupid. I'm good with these moves let's add some defense and depth and March into the playoffs next year. This team is ready

I agree this team is ready. It's playoff hockey for us next year this time.

I feel like the Pegulas are getting a bad rap in the media yet again. Says he has a trigger finger with all these firings with Bills and Sabres. If they just look at how we played last year, they'd understand this this was justified.

Yes, I liked TM, but he didn't build a good defense. Good at getting forwards, but not the blue line.

But there has been one thing in common between all of Buffalo sports...Russ Brandon. Wherever he goes, it turns to [inappropriate/removed]. He needs to be fired more than anyone else in either organization.
