Bulaga to LG and Spriggs to RT?

Why would we do this now with no time for the new OL to gel? If it's not fake my weekend is ruined.

What? WHAT? Stop the madness, please. This is too much to handle. No. No, no no.

From Demovsky:

Quote:
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Josh Sitton's career with the Green Bay Packers appears to be over.

The Packers will release the three-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman if they can't trade him, according to a league source.

The team spent part of Saturday trying to trade Sitton before the NFL's deadline to cut rosters to 53.

Sitton is entering the final year of a five-year, $33.75 million contract. He was scheduled to make $6.450 million in base salary and roster bonuses this season.

Click on the link. It says "planning to" not that he was already cut.

what?

Titled "Packers shockingly release LG Josh Sitton"

Quote:
Packers released LG Josh Sitton.
This one is a head-scratcher. Although he's now on the wrong side of 30, Sitton has been a second-team All Pro each of the past three seasons, and hasn't missed a game since 2011. He was Pro Football Focus' No. 5 overall guard last year. The move saves $6.85 million, but if the Pack were interested in saving cash, it's unclear why the move wasn't made in the spring. Sitton won't take long to find a new home. Sep 3 - 2:35 PM

This is on rotoworld where he is not listed as a Free Agent

Rotoworld has a link or source for almost all of their news.. The link sends you to a Twitter account that says "planning to" release Sitton. Idk if Rotoworld jumped the gun or not, but they don't have a source that confirms it has already happened.

This takes any and all hilariousness away from the Vikings Bradford thing, why would we even think about doing this!? Unless sitton bridgewatered his leg like, an hour ago this might be the stupidest thing Ted has ever done

Waiting for hopefully something to justify this but I just don't know wtf that would be. The interior just got worse as a result of this. When it's SB or bust you don't want to be making your team worse in certain areas

This would go from bad to worse if they don't even trade him and end up getting nothing for a pro bowl Guard

Is it possible they're planning on cutting him in order to re-sign him? I mean... We were going to lose him next year anyway.

To all the people who said we weren't re-signing Bakhtiari after this year... Yeah we are.

I understand not finding a trade partner, but you're letting an all-pro go and getting zero compensation?????

If true Ted can retire any day now, and I'm being 100% serious. This is a move of a GM content with division titles.

Silverstein says its not contract or back-injury related

Are the Browns finally trading Joe Thomas to us ? Cool
Can't make sense of this in reality, so I'm going with hallucinations

This isn't the end of the world when Linsley is back, but I really don't get it.
