If it's not a health issue, why would you drop your best OL in a year you'll be in contention for a SB?

You would think a team in the bottom half of the waiver order would offer up something . . .

For a team with SB expectations, this makes little sense if he's simply cut. Makes little sense to get rid of him at all

there has to be more going on. I mean, you telling me they couldn't even trade him to a team like Seattle who needs any kind of OL help?

Unless Josh is still having back issues this move is about as sensible as the Vikes trading for Bradford. Confused

Click on the link. It says "planning to" not that he was already cut.

Has to be some kind of injury concern, else TT has officially lost his mind and it's time to pass the mantle.

Shambolic failure by the GM if this is true, that is just shocking! What is he thinking?!

what?

Titled "Packers shockingly release LG Josh Sitton"

Quote:
Packers released LG Josh Sitton.
This one is a head-scratcher. Although he's now on the wrong side of 30, Sitton has been a second-team All Pro each of the past three seasons, and hasn't missed a game since 2011. He was Pro Football Focus' No. 5 overall guard last year. The move saves $6.85 million, but if the Pack were interested in saving cash, it's unclear why the move wasn't made in the spring. Sitton won't take long to find a new home. Sep 3 - 2:35 PM

This is on rotoworld where he is not listed as a Free Agent

There's plenty of teams out there who could use someone like Sitton. This doesn't make any sense at all.
