A QB qualified as such would almost certainly lead to multiple SB wins! Very Happy

I saw this side-by-side comparison on Twitter tonight and I thought it was interesting.

Well it's a team game no? Patterson will be more than just a kick returner for us. He's a great gunner and also in an offense that can actually utilize him. Oh and he finally has a legit quarterback.

With that said, your cheap shot aside, I don't think it was a bad deal for Murray. He'll be a productive player for you.

Cheap shot? Laughing

Derek Carr is no more of a legit QB than Sam Bradford is in Minnesota.

HERE WE GO Laughing

That's not a shot at Derek Carr. It's more of a testament to how well Bradford did in Minnesota. Theilen and Rudolph both had career years thanks to Bradford. All behind arguably the worst line in the NFL. 7 different starters at tackle with Matt Asiata and Jerrick McKinnon as the primary running backs.

Seen this a couple days ago on FB but definitely in agreement about it being interesting

Those sacked and yards lost to sacks numbers are nasty.

Honestly nobody looked into those numbers much because we finished 8-8.

Sam's deep ball #'s were great, and I think our coaching staff knows it. Main reason we are looking for someone who can take these deep balls to the house. We currently have, 4 possession receivers on our roster with Thielen, Diggs, Wright, and Treadwell. While a few can make plays on the deep ball, they aren't exactly known as deep threats. Still think that is the type of guy we target in this draft this year.

Still probably by favorite throw/catch of the year for the Vikings.

I just don't understand the thought process of a WR/TE with either of our 2nd/3rd/3rd picks.

In terms of passing targets they would (hopefully) be behind a) Rudolph b) Diggs c) Thielen d) Wright e) Treadwell.

I just don't see it as a big drafting need, sure if one falls & its tremendous value, then the selection is okay, but I don't see WR as a big need where we need to dedicate a high draft resource over other needs.

No, I agree. Only ones I would have a hard time letting slide would be Engram, Ross (just for ability to take the top off), and maybe someone like Howard or Njoku.

Really all these players are very unlikely to even be close to being around.
If we are taking a WR/TE option I'm sure we will see them in rounds 5,6, or 7. Just look for someone who has experience running in the deep ball, with speed, and tracks well. Really everyone the Vikings have worked out or met you see they are these late round fliers.

Just more help for Bradford, something I have no issue with trying to do.

I will say that it's probably a tad deceiving to use yards per attempt and not yards per completion. In that, Carr has a 11.0 to 9.8 advantage.

His deep ball was rated top 5 the year before with the Eagles as well.

Granted Bradford starts every game this season, what should our expectations be for him? Give me a stat line.

he helps us win games through good management and ball control and making smart decisions.

the only stats that matter.

Mike Zimmer at Owners Meetings:

on Sam Bradford: "He developed a relationship with those guys" on the team even though he joined team late.

on Sam Bradford: "I think he'll be more of a leader.''

on Sam Bradford: "What he did last year was kind of remarkable when you think about it.''
