man the panthers are gonna be a load to play against. all their offensive players are massive, it takes a very physical defense to slow them down.

Siemian looked decent. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders and made a few plays. That Broncos D is still nasty as is Luke K.

Siemian looks like the typical game manager, should do enough to keep them in games.

Carolina losing will help us down the stretch in playoff seeding. In terms of hard games left Panthers have MIN, Bucsx2, @NO, ARI, KC, @SEA.

Moral of this game, is hit Cam hard when he runs.

Siemian is what the Broncos need right now. Probably will get them near the playoffs because of how the defense is so good.

You have to wonder if the Broncos have exposed how to beat Newton and get into his head?

The Broncos have an elite defense, but it will be interesting to see how other teams approach the Panthers.

Losing an interconference game isn't going to have much of an impact in playoff seeding.

Losing an actual game does, cuz overall record actual does effect seeding Laughing

Well, sure...Wink

But seriously, if they are tied with 2-3 other teams in that 7-9 to 9-7 range (whichever it may be), the loss to Denver isn't going to mean much...and it'll mean even less when Denver also goes in the 6-10 to 8-8 range as I expect them to as well as it won't help their schedule strength.

Denver defense didn't look unstoppable, but they're still very good. Once again to make it back to the playoffs, they'll need the defense to play at an elite level.

Officiating was not great. I only watched parts of the game, but I saw them miss at least one flagrant helmet-to-helmet hit on Cam, after they had called a really chintzy taunting penalty against the Panthers.

How does this not get called?

[Edit -- the previous photo I posted was a play that did in fact draw a flag]

It did get called, however, Newton was also called for intentional grounding which offset the penalties. I agree Newton took a beating and was hit in the head quite a few times with no flags being thrown.

Didn't see your edit milanb but there were some that should've been called. I'm sure Brady and Rodgers would have gotten the flags.

No problem. I only saw bits of the game and thought the other play was the non-call that I had watched.
