New one. Addressed mainly defense with top picks. CB was not top priority, but I felt Jones too good to pass up talentwise.

He is a beast definitely would take him if he's available!!! He or Adams would be huge!!! And Watson is going to be a stud!!! Idk why scouts can't see it but this guy has it and he just showed he can adjust keep calm play level and carry his team from behind against the best!!! He's going to make some GM look very smart!!!!

Agreed guys. Really there around 10 prospects I'd love to take at 17 and Ruben Foster would be one of the top ones on the list along with Hooker, Adams, McDowell, Barnett, Brantley, McMillan and Cunningham.

Any of these guys would come in and be impact players right away that would help our defense get back to respectable.

Browns win on Monday night

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/01/10/browns-win-on-monday-night/ via @ProFootballTalk‬

I think with Watson, he obviously needs some work in the passing game but he has displayed that he can make NFL throws and can run just about any offense and make any throw. He's also extremely intelligent - can read defenses - obviously very athletic, cerebral and just executes with the game on the line and has for 3 years. He's clutch!

I think there are 3 definite Qbs to be taken in round 1. Watson will go #1 or 2, Mitch Trubisky will go top 15 - probably top 10 - and Kizer will go at some point in the teens to the send half of round 1. Then, there is obviously Kaya and Mahomes who have a lot of potential and honestly they could also go in the second half of round 1 - all of takes is one team to fall in love with them - but most likely I think they'll go in round 2.

We'll see. This draft class screams 2010 to me. One decent guy, the rest below average or duds.

I think it's more like 2011, where there were talented guys available but they each needed a lot of work to be ready but their pedigree, talent and potential made them 1st round picks or early 2nd round picks.

1. Cam Newton
2. Jake Locker
3. Blaine Gabbert
4. Christian Ponder

All went top 15.

5. Andy Dalton
6. Colin Kapernick

Went 35 and 36 and are the 2nd and 3rd best Qbs in the draft class after Newton.

If we stick with what you're saying though, and 4 could go in the first, then that leaves the secondary guys to maybe develop and do well. I don't see that out of anyone except MAYBE Mahomes. I just don't see it with Kaaya, Evans, Webb, Kelly, etc.

Just looking off of a historical perspective we both know that Qbs get over drafted. We know they shouldn't, like I didn't think those Qbs after Cam deserved to be drafted in round 1 or a guy like Ryan Tanehill but they were because of the position they played and their potential.

It just wouldn't shock me at all if the following happened:

#1 Watson
#2 Trubinsky
#6 Kizer
#10 Mahomes
#13 Kaya
#30 Webb or Kelley

Seriously, we've seen it before in 2011 when so many teams wanted or needed new Qbs and most of us didn't think the prospects were worth their selects - same with Tanehill amongst others - but it happens anyways.

I don't think it will happen that way. Most likely the last 4 on that list and Evans will go in round 2 and 3 or later like you say, but with Qbs in the draft anything is possible.

Good luck to any team that takes Jerod Evans in the 2nd round.

Yeah, I think he's clearly the worst over group we've listed. I shouldn't have included him as a possible 2nd. He's most likely a 4th rounder or later.

Here is a Drafttek list:

http://www.drafttek.com/2017-NFL-Draft-Prospect-Rankings/Top-QBs.asp

5 QBs in the top 50, and thats just off of rankings, not need. Many teams take QBs off of need, it's the position test is most taken off of need. There a chance Webb & Kelly go in round 2 also if a team sees a need there and falls in love with them.

I don't feel like there's a single QB in this draft worth a first round pick.

Yeah, I don't necessarily disagree but like in 2011, that won't matter to qb hungry teams.

I don't get how anyone can say that Watson isn't a first round pick. The problem with him is the spotlight is so big on him that when he makes a mistake (which he does because he's human) everyone goes crazy and and starts waving their hands in the air.

Arm? Check
Pocket presence? Check
Accuracy? Check
Speed? Check
Height? Check
Winner? Check
Character? Check

I know his INT numbers were a tad on the high side but thats mostly because he pressed too much sometimes. He has made some dumb decisions (INT in the 4th quarter in the loss to Pitt was BAD) but I personally think they are fixable. He's only 21 years old, he is far from a finished product but he has all the tangibles and intangibles to be successful.

Signed,

A biased Clemson Alum

Edit: His height is actually listed at 6'2 but he doesn't look that small on film. I know that shouldn't matter but I've never thought his height was an issue. Don't see a lot of ball batted down at the LOS.
