6 years, $90M.

Not bad. No info on the guaranteed $$$ yet.

According to NFL sources, #Bills have protected themselves w options, but satisfied Tyrod Taylor's desire to avg. $15M per yr in salary.

Its worrisome to be sure.

I hope this is not a repeat of Fitzpatrick.

I do not know what the rush was to be honest.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Tyrod Taylor's "six-year, $92 million" contract contains a $27.5 million option for 2017.
Taylor will make $9.5 million this season, and that appears to be the only truly guaranteed year of the deal. If Taylor plays well enough this season to convince the Bills he's worthy of a long-term commitment, he will make $27.5 million in 2017 and the rest of the six-year, $92 million deal will kick in. It appears the Bills did a good job of protecting themselves in this contract. Taylor will continue to bet on himself this season. Should Taylor not play well, the Bills will be able to cut him next offseason.

They have a team option after every season so not too worried about the length of the deal.

And I feel they did it because they believe he's going to have another good season and come next offseason, his price would be $20 million. It's a gamble both sides took.

Sounds like a good deal for both sides, glad they got it done before the season.
