I never expected us to set the world on fire with any big signings in FA, but my biggest concern is that we're putting a ton of pressure on hitting on players in the draft by not improving our depth in FA. The way that it's going, we are going to be relying on a lot of rookies early on next year to play significant roles in one of the weakest aspects of our team (the secondary). Not to mention losing Schwenke creates another need at OLine, because now we have to find another guy that's versatile enough to play OG/C. It would've just been nice if we put a little more effort into improving our depth in this FA period. Our WR and CB depth is pretty much nonexistent at this point, and expecting a crop of rookies to come in and be ready to play significant roles right away is just a tad scary.

I'd be happy if we could sign a WR like Kamar Aiken and at least one more CB to at least give us a little bit of cushion depth wise heading into the draft.

I love that my early and admittedly premature panic is now finally starting to spread around.

And by love I mean hate. I hate it all. Laughing

Im not really surprised at all. Kind of what I expected to be honest. Sure...I, like everyone else, was hoping for a big name guy (Bouye Crying or Very sad ) but wasn't surprised with who we got. JRob got his no. 1 guy in Logan Ryan, got an in the box safety, and a couple stout STers.

JRob's made it known we build through the draft. I was hoping for another solid 2nd tier guy, but whatever. I think we all got our hopes up a bit with how entertaining last offseason was and kind of expected that to be the norm. I don't think we'll be disappointed with how we move around in the draft, however. Thats where he'll do his dirty work.

I'm not panicked or really that upset with our FA. We brought in as many starters as I expected. I just figured we would bring in more guys who could compete to start.

I expected a "priority" corner and safety.

I had dreamed for Berry and Corner I thought Ryan was the guy but also thought they'd go after Bouye.

But I also thought they'd get a mid-level or just another WR FA. I didn't think they'd really go after Jeffery or Pryor. I just never felt they had enough trust in them.

So I'm not shocked by FA, but a little underwhelmed. It doesn't have any sizzle but that's cool I guess.

I expect them to bring in a WR, another CB, and a LB.
We'll see

I knew you'd catch that.... and a quote from Watchmen came to mind as i was typing it.

I need to read Watchmen again. I'm going on vacation next week, I should take it along. It's been like a decade and I read it all in one day the first time.

Is Engram gonna be drafted as a TE? Engram as a receiver intrigues me. That size, speed, and hands... Shocked

Swing TE with very little inline formations for him. A lot of H-Back/Slot/Etc.

So, do we have any college football/draft experts here who can list some of the prospects to look out for at position of needs. I have a few.

CB
Jalen Tabor(Florida)
Desmond King (Iowa)
Jabrill Peppers (Michigan)

TE
Jake Butt (Michigan)
Jordan Leggett (Clemson)

OG
???

Pass Rushers
Myles Garrett (Texas A&M)
Carl Lawson (Auburn)
Tim Williams (Alabama)

WR
Mike Williams (Clemson)
JuJu Smith-Schuster (USC)
Corey Davis (Western Michigan)

Peppers isn't a Corner. He's at best a safety and is playing LB this year for the Wolverines. I'd call him more of a safety prospect.

I like Tredavious White , and Gareon Conley at CB

Safety Shaquil Griffin from UCF have met with the Titans and worked out for us, per this article from NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000794221/article/shaquill-griffin-stuck-by-his-twin-now-nfl-teams-are-catching-up

I've only seen very little of him, I only knew about him prior to the Combine due to his brother and that great story, but he intrigues me a lot.

Fabian Moreau suffered a pec injury today at his pro day. The full extent of the injury isn't known yet. Not as bad as an achilles injury but still sucks a month before the draft.
